Should I even bring it up if they don't mention it? Do you correct it with the consular officer?

I plan on offering the additional information at the interview.... If they don't want it, then at least I offered.

What does Technology Alert List means? I also work in IT and have been in few other countries including the US as a result of my profession. I will like to know more bcos AP is one thing I wouldnt want to go through.

It really doesn't pertain to Nigeria or the MENA's its country specific. Every country has their markers for AP and what they check name checks, security checks, all that. No worries for you.

Thanks so much!!! Wow! 6 weeks for the green card!!! Did the ss card come at the same time? I've been checking into things for hubby. It seems as though you can't do much without it. Ie: bank acct, drivers license, ect. You can't do anything here without ID and you can't get an ID without the GC. Thanks again for thinking of us! He'll be here in less than 2 weeks!!! So happy!!!!!! :)

I'm sorry for taking so long to answer. We ticked the box that said "Would you like a Social Security Card" on one of the forms (the Affidavit of Support form, maybe...gosh, you'd think I'd remember) and that took care of it, but if you didn't remember or check that box, all you have to do is go down to the Social Security Administration office in your city or area, and wait in line, and the person behind the desk will want to see his passport and CR-1 visa. Then they'll take care of it and he'll get the SS card sent to your home address in a couple of weeks.

Now we're working on the drivers' license. He can't believe that driving licenses are so inexpensive here, compared to the Netherlands, where they cost over 1000E now (driving school and fees).

At least you're not dealing with 6 tickets Kuwait-Denver as I would when the time comes. $8,000-$10,000 if I book 4 months in advance. Can't do it though... I'm an AP magnet.

Hope I just made you feel a little better about your situation. ;)

Sweet Lord why 6? What mom , dad and 4 kids or what. I so feel for you. Dang that is a high price tag. Yikes.

This is a touchy thing but why not book if you must but do the you can change the dates for minimal fee. Many airlines will give you wiggle room. I so understand and for most of us its travel season and everywhere is out of this world crazy pricing.

He is a US citizen, lived in the UK, now moved back to the US. I am French, we met in 2010 in the UK and got married in March 2013 in France.

Price tag indeed... the amount mentioned is for 4+ month advance reservation. short-notice reservations would add a few G's (or is it K's).

the embassy usually designs two or three doctors for the medical exams.

The designated doctors have all the forms.

If you check on your embassy requirements on travel.state.gov, you'll find out what is needed.
