So hubby's interview went ok but we are now in AP. He had everything the NVC requested but apparently there is some other document having to do with marital status that he needed from some government agency there. This is frustrating to me because I went on NVC website under country specific and the only thing that was listed there was about the police clearance.

So he was able to go get this document this afternoon. But he is only allowed to take it back to the embassy tomorrow between 4 and 4:30. Really? A half hour window? And on a Friday no less!! Ugh!!! I'm pretty disgusted right now.

After 14 months of waiting and jumping thru hoops now this!!!!! I can't wait til this bs is over!

And I was thinking we would be so happy and relieved today. And here we are still stressed out!

What more could they want from us? They had our ORIGINAL marriage cert!!!!!!!!!!

The lady at the embassy told him it may still be possible to get the visa next week but they don't do anything quickly there so I'm not holding my breath!

We had a case complete last May 14th, and we are still waiting for an interview to be scheduled at the Paris embassy. We have been calling everyday since last Wednesday, but no much luck. I was hoping that the delay was "just" due to the holidays / long weekend (embassy was close last Thursday may 28th - and will be close again this upcoming Monday, by the way) and that they would start this week but... nothing yet. I am guessing that we are all looking at the spreadsheet wondering if we are all screwed by PRS or just nobody is "checking back". Pretty sure it is just the immigration process who feels like messing with us a little more. Bad luck from start to the end.

This is ridiculous!! You have been waiting forever. And why so many darn days off? Don't they just get American holidays off? Or do they get the French ones too? Because if that is the case, then I clearly need to work there.

I'm going to track your status and see if you here anything from them. Have you considered calling the embassy themselves?

Thanks. I hope so too! I know you feel my pain after all the bs you and your hubby have been through in this process. I thought the worst was over. By the time the interview come you kinda feel like your home free but NOPE!!! Anything can happen!

No need to be sorry Stacey, totally understandable. Good news is that is it, that one last piece of paper tomorrow and all those months of waiting will be over! You will see.

My petition's status changed today from "In Transit" to "Ready".

I will be floading the consulat in Casablanca with email to try and get an earlier interview date.

I really hope they allow us if they have open spots

I haven't been on VJ for a bit because it was making me so anxious about our case. Plus the new baby and all the expenses. I'm slowly losing my mind.

But we're almost done. I just hope that nothing goes wrong during the interview.

I am the same, they asked for some docs from the petitioner (my husband). And the CO was a bit rude and confusing. And they gave me another interview in a private room. I am so so so sad and my husband could not sleep. They gave as checlist e.g. I need a new passport bec it will expire in 7 months, civil docs from my husband and more proof about our relationship and we submitted everything to them. What else do they need. I think the CO was in a bad mood. the other woman next to me was the same AP. Are there any possibility that we would be denied? Please help.

This is an advance warning for those with interviews coming up in the coming days and weeks. If your 2013 tax was filed as Single, there is a very high probability of your application being put into AP until you (your petitioner) fix that error. So it is a much better idea to submit a 1040X and change your filing status to anything but Single (MFS, HOH, MFJ ) and carry a copy of this with you along with your 2013 Tax Return.

I just called the Consulat in Casablanca and actually spoke to 2 people. They both asked me to send an email requesting the change of interview schedule to June and they will get back to me as soon as they can.

I really have a good feeling about this! Hopefully it works and we get an earlier interview!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
