After almost 14 months at USCIS and NVC, we finally have CASE COMPLETE! And as it's my birthday, I have one more reason to celebrate!

I talked to Bruce (?), very nice guy, he told me they are still scheduling for July interviews and so there was a chance I will get one. Don't know if he just said this to be nice on my birthday, but let's hope he says the truth.

Thanks to everyone for the moral support, help and a

So happy to be able to be apart o f this thread :-). Are we discussing domicile in here as well? I would love some feedback on the evidence I have. Also, how do I go about getting my cases joined at NVC?

Here's what I sent it, and I was approved at NVC: (though I've heard Canada is pretty tough with this)

Supporting Documents for the above steps I have taken:

• Absentee ballot request marked “US citizen, plan to return”

• ************** Credit Union statements showing permanent US address

• ***************** investment fund statement showing permanent US address

• ************ retirement fund statement showing permanent US address

• Copy of state drivers license showing permanent US address

• Lease agreement for our house

• Quote from auto insurance company regarding my request

• Quote from health insurance company regarding my request

• Bill of sale for car purchased in the USA

• Email about inquiry of renewing my teaching license

• Email correspondence with international shipper giving quote

I would love to discuss domicile... what evidence do you have?

Hi thanks for your response :-)

Re-establishing domicile list includes:

Maintained voter registration number (my husband "believed he sent in an absentee ballot, but apparently did it wrong so we couldn't use that as proof)

Newly renewed US drivers license

CRBA's for children

US passports for children

Letter from mother-in-law/joint sponsor stating we will be living with her until we get our own place

Correspondence from schools discussing enrollment of children

Moving quotes from Upack and another local moving company

Job letter from father-in-law stating my husband/USC will be working for him ( wondering if this will be a problem because my husbands current title and field is technical analyst, but his father is a who builds houses. The document states my husband will be an assistant carpenter. Will this be an issue because my husband does something totally different now? He will only be working with his father until he gets a job in his field in the US.)

Maintained social security number

Resignation letter from petitioners employer stating they are aware he will resign once visas are granted

Documents showing permanent US address

Bank statements from US bank account showing that it is still open and being used

This, i think, is all for now

I just finished the call to NVC, asked them about my IV Invoice. The old man very nice to explain to me something( I said "old man" because I guess on his voice :) ). At first, my IV Invoice will be available no later than this week as he can write a note or do something in my casefile. He said IV Invoicing now takes longer than normal due to backlog. For those who submitted DS-261 twice or more and nothing changes on the form. He said that is website error and NVC knows that. They process on the first submit if the form is the same. He answer that when I ask which date I counting to 30 days......So, in my case, I counting from May 8( first submit) but he assured as I wrote above, maybe he is a supervisor :). And the second, AOS and IV. He said today NVC reviewing the package that has been scanned into the system on May 9 and a bit 12. My AOS package scanned on May 20, he also said I may have update on AOS Package in the end of next week.

FYI : I dialed 38 times and on hold for 72 mins :)

Hi, So I submitted my DS261 on may 23 for my another case ,When I can expect my IV to be invoiced?

How can I get a link to my timeline where its not from my view where someone can make changes and have access to my account? I'm trying to be added to the spreadsheet.

Go to your profile page and click on timeline. Just copy that URL. Only YOU can edit your timeline, no matter what URL is given to others as you need to be signed into that account. So, unless they have your email address and password, you're fine.

UPDATE:

My husband had his interview today and his visa was APPROVED. It was at 9:15 and he got out 11:30 because he said there were a lot of people. We are completely happy and will wait for his visa here (which they say will take 1-6 days). Thank you Saylin and everyone who helped along the way!!

And CONGRATS SUKIE!!!

Congratulations and so glad this is done for you!!!!!!!!!!! :goofy::goofy::goofy:

Hi Saylin or who may be able to help me.

Do you know why my signature is showing like this now instead of line by line. I don't like it like this and want it back the other way.

Mine did that the other day, as well as my avatar was missing. Not sure why, but I just put it all back by editing my signature and reposting my pic.
