I think the NVC is backlogged..hence why it's taking so long to invoice the IV.. They're trying to balance the workload, which I could understand, you don't want what happened at USCIS. At least they're working overtime, you can try calling and see if it will do anything?

I believe an NVC agent mentioned that they were experiencing problems ever since they've upgraded the website.

I hope they fix the darn website soon! :clock:

After checking the CEAC website for over 100 times and getting the normal error message. The DS-261 suddenly became available after I checked again. Case COMPLETE! ! Right now after waiting 1 hour. Thank you so much VJ family. Saylin you are the best. God bless you

CONGRATS!!

May 8th AOS --- Still not reviewed. Need to wait at least "30 days". :(

You know, I think you should call back tonight - yes that's draining, but there should be an answer for you by then!

When I called, I just asked for an update on my AOS and I asked if I was getting a check list. The Agent told me I was but it wasn't for the Affidavit of Support it was for the 'civil documents' (ie: expect a false check list as the IV docs have been there since the 16th)!

I think it depends on how it's worded with these Agents. Or I'm just paranoid. With a side of neurotic.

5/21/2016: Mailed I-751 packet to CSC

5/23/2016: NOA1

7/29/2016: Biometrics Appointment

11/22/2016: I-751 Approved!

lol! I love my Kindle and Nintendo DS when I fly. Link and Mario are the best travel companions. You could add me on Facebook but I don't post much, so I wouldn't contribute much as far as entertainment goes, haha. There's the whole vast internet available to you, there's gotta be something at least as interesting as our NVC thread shenanigans ;)

Yeah, I usually have my Kindle Fire and read books. But, I bought a Chromebook in February (since I was tired of lugging around my like 10 pound Macbook Pro [which has a laptop cooler, large charger, mouse, and chunky bag]) and it came with like 10 or 12 free GoGo in-flight WiFi passes, so I figured I would use them since it's free (and only have like a year to use them)! Plus, it's cool being able to use the internet from a plane. It was my first time back in February/March when I flew to Canada ;) *uber geek*

I need some help.

I've attached the page from my interview letter under "Required Visa Interview Documents"

I understand it all until I get down to the last three:

F - Petitioner Marriage Certificate

F - Petitioner Birth Certificate

11 - Petitioner Marriage Termination

The Document Status Code is "F" which means "NVC did not request this document" just as it did for the n/a items "Adoption", "Marriage Termination" "Court Records" all of which do not apply to him.

I just need to know if I need to send him the Petitioner Documents? Can someone help?

I need some help

The short answer in No. They do not need petitioner's documents at the consulate. USCIS had them and have forwarded them on.

Geeks ftw! Don't blame you at all for taking advantage of the free wifi, it's such a cool thing to have on a plane. I just broke down and bought a Galaxy tablet, so I'll have a whole new dimension of entertainment available next time I fly. No more crossing my fingers that there are good in-flight movies! Also my screen is bound to be bigger than the plane's  I can't imagine how boring flying must've been before all this technology.

At least you go on planes that have in-flight movies! All the flights I've taken over the past few years don't even have that. Not a big main one or a small one on the back of each seat. Thankfully, I like reading, so I was entertained. And now I have free Wi-Fi, although, only on the bigger planes. From Fargo to Minneapolis (and back), there's no Wi-Fi.

do you get the case complete email first? Or can you get the Interview date before that?

Congratulations on case complete! Great news! I don't think we received case complete email yet. Nothing on my inbox and husband hasn't forwarded anything. Ours happened May 22. Our interview email was sent the same date as the letter is dated, May 29. We received the email before we even had a chance to call!

I bet you'll be on one with movies when you go to Florida! The down side there is being stuck on the kind of long flights that justify personal screens. If a trans-Atlantic flight couldn't provide even ONE television screen, that would just be sad. The worst flight I've had was from Zurich to Boston (8ish hours), it was a massive plane with three rows of seats but only a couple of TVs over the aisles. I was trapped in the dead center of the plane, couldn't see the screens, had no windows to look out, had people on both sides of me... and one of them was an ex-boyfriend. LONG story there, haha! But I didn't even have a Kindle at the time, so it was pretty brutal. After that experience I armed myself with plenty of distractions every time I had to get on a plane ;)
