So funny, I had a checklist for the fee I already paid, if not, how can I got document cover sheet and submit DS-260? You had a checklist for DS-261 that must be done before pay for IV FEE. If not ( incompleted, incorrected....)how can you paid for IV FEE?

DO NOT submit again. Don't even open the DS-261 form. Call them and insist they remove the checklist. The fact they invoiced your IV bill is proof enough it's submitted and accepted.

Help us out on this guys please? i am the beneficiary. My husband filed this petition for me. We're having a joint sponsor who's my mother-in-law. She has her husband so her household size becomes 3 right? (me, her, father-in-law) however, does she still needs to put in the name of my father in law in part 6a of the form?(person 1). If that so, does my father in law also need to submit a completed i-864 form? Then he will become the 2nd joint sponsor? Is that it or my in-laws become my joint sponsor? (Combining their annual incomes to be as one?) We're really confused wooooo????

Aaaaaahhhh nvm. I figured this out. Just have to fill up i-864A for the household member tsk?

Guys in the IV package the original and it's copies are reuqired. So do the copies have to be attested as well? My originals are already certified by the ministry of foreign affairs over here.

for those curious what this was, i just talked to NVC and they said they reviewed my marriage certificate and decided it was ok. they just wanted to let me know...

yep, the AOS fee has said N/A since the 25th (and called and was told CC). just confused by this "checklist" as i'm not told to send anything to nvc

Since there's been talk of blogs today, I'll add mine to the list. For most of the process I've kept a private journal, but my husband finally immigrates five days from now, and I decided to write up a detailed account of our entire visa process to share with family and friends. I've spent the whole week writing and editing it, so it's pretty long, but you lovely people on VisaJourney have cameos!

I L.O.V.E.D. this blog! I never understood the whole transfer thing until now. I can't believe the difference in processing times based on where our files ended up. Even though I filed at the same time as you, being sent to Nebraska rather than California cost me 2 months. That pisses me right off! The part where you talked about watching the USCIS processing times really hit home too. When we filed the projection was 5 months, then it kept going up! I remember at one stage it was 13 months. Talk about not being able to plan our lives!

I have kept this whole process a secret from most people in my life because I didn't want to face the constant questions about "when are you going?" etc. We have been living life "business as usual" until we get our interview. Now that we are getting close we are starting to tell family and close friends, but I refuse to tell work until we know a more exact timeframe. Had I told them in June 2013 when we applied, I may have missed out on a promotion that I went for thinking I might not be able to fulfil the entire contract. I only have 5 weeks left.

BOS I LOVED it!!! Specially the part in which u described your interview experience I had tears in my eyes. I am sure I would be feeling almost the same thing that day shich God knows when will come u were right into saying that u were one of the luckiest June filers and yet 341 days for u! I hope people realize it's not easy and being married to a citizen doesn't mean u get to step In states right away. Good luck with your new journey of life! The best feeling is to be in love after all this time and feel that all this wait was worth it
