Hi, I got a checklist for incompetence of..

I-864

In Part 6. Sponsor's Income and Employment, please correct the following...

[x] Item 13.a. You must include your ___2013________________________________ tax and income information.

[x] Items 13.a.1. The income you enter must match the total (gross) income reported on your most recent Federal

income tax return. If you filed Form 1040EZ, use the adjusted gross income instead.

The question 13.a. and 13.a.1. on the I-864 asks for most recent Tax Year and Total Income

My question is that I don't have a job so I left that blank and put "*claimed as a dependent on parents tax return." under the question. So what do I write? N/A?

I-864A

Part 1 Information on the Household Member

[x] This section is incomplete. Please answer all questions completely. (If N/A, please indicated in the

appropriate space).

What I left blank for Part 1 was #3. Place of Residence and #12 My Assets...do I put the same address for #3 and N/A's all over #12?

Please help me I want to be done with this case already.

Can someone tell me what this checklist means. This is what it says

"The NVC has received the requested DS-260, Online Immigrant Visa Application. However, we are still waiting for the response to the checklist letter for the Affidavit of Support. Please reture the requested information so that we may complete your case. "

My question is-

Are my supporting documents in the IV package accepted?

Does anything online also changes meaning does it go from paid to n/a or any other activity?

Thanks

they issue Checklist when we made a mistake and we have to correct the mistake and resend them..

Sometime, you might get fasle checklist means you don't have to do anything with it..

To find either your Checklist is real or false, you have to call NVC.

You didn't tell that what kind of checklist you got??

if u didn't get anything than Call NVC ask them about AoS checklist..

Also, when was your IV scanned ?

if you see n/a in IV and AOS fees than It's good news about Case Complete.

You guys its would help tremendously if I can get an answer to this...

Has anyone, who is doing EP, e-mailed any of their documents around 5/27 and later, and had them already scanned in the system. I am in limbo here and so confused as to why they say they have no e-mails from me. NVC told me they are well passed that date in terms of emails..

Just spoke with Lee and....

CASE COMPLETE!!!! :D:dance::jest::goofy::energy:

as of today, 26 June! My last scanned document was 27 May. I knew to call because AOS fee changed to N/A.

She said they are still scheduling for August and that we are in the queue! woohoo! so excited!

Best of luck to everyone, you're day is coming too and it's worth the wait!

Congratulations!!! :dancing:

Looks like a false checklist meaning your IV docs were accepted. I don't think anything online will change until your checklist for AOS is approved and you get case complete.

Got my IV Bill today. Just paid it.

I had submitted my DS261 on May 30th so I guess they are about 3 and a half weeks behind in processing paperwork.

I had initially submitted the DS261 about a week earlier and then had made the dumb move of clicking on the "Complete" link next to DS261 on the online site. Reset my paperwork by a week. Do not ever click on that button once it shows up as COMPLETE...

I submited mine 29th of May, yours is consider a week prior probably(your first submit date). i dont think they will look at the last week of may till next week. Either way this is good news!

HI EVENING NVC'S I RECIEVED A CHECKLIST OVER A MONTH AGO SAYING I SHOULD RE-DO THE AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT AND COORECT MY NAME....... WHICH I DID........AN HOUR AGO I RECIEVE ANOTHER CHECKLIST BUT I REALLY DONT UNDERSTAND IT SO PLZ CAN ANYONE TELL ME, WHAT IT MEANS AND WHAT THEY R ASKING FOR THIS TIME????

CHECKLIST

INSTRUCTIONS FOR: MY WIFE NAME

F-FINANCIAL EVIDENCE

THE NVC HAS RECEIVED THE REQUESTED DS-260 ONLINE IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION. HOWEVER, WE ARE STILL WAITING FOR THE RESPONCE TO THE CHECKIST LETTER FOR THE AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT. PLEASE RETURN THE REQUESTED INFORMATION SO THAT WE CAN COMPLETE YOUR CASE.

CAN SOMEONE PLZ HELP ME AM LOST WITH THIS AND MY WIFE IS SEVEN MONTHS PREGNANT, THIS IS REALLY STRESSING US?????? :-(

This appears to be a false checklist. You can usually tell it is if they are not asking for anything specific and you have already sent them the checklist. It seems to mean they have accepted your other package which triggers a false checklist because they haven't reviewed your other documents yet. Nothing to do now for you but wait until your checklist is reviewed and hope for case complete.

Please do not quote me on this and take this as qualified advice until I get a case complete, but I was in the same situation (I'm the beneficiary) and I've moved around a lot. I can't quite remember the exact month I moved into all my past addresses, but I just estimated the closest possible date and made sure my end date of one address and the start date of the next address were the same.

If he doesn't have any documentation (lease agreements, etc.) I would say for him to just make the closest guess possible. See if he can recall moving in (what time of year was it, did it coincide with the start of a new job, finishing school, major holidays etc.) Maybe he can remember what was happening in his life when he moved in and jog his memory. For example I always remember when we moved into our house because it was Cinco de Mayo. ha ha

thanks to both of you!!

ANOTHER QUESTION regarding current spouse, I'm not sure which one to choose for "Spouse's Address" field..it gives be 4 options - same as present, same as intended US address, DO NOT KNOW, Other -specify.

The funny thing is I'm the petitioner and I am already living in the US...and when I click on either of those options, the last question appears asking - is your spouse immigrating to US with you? Well I'm already in the US..how do i answer that, whether i check Yes or No...it's still a wrong question and answer will be obviously wrong...please suggest!! thanks

So, you need to think as the beneficiary here. Let me give you it from my point of view and how I filled these questions out....

Is your husband a UK citizen and immigrating with you? NO. Why? My husband isn't a non-US citizen so he's already living there, so is not immigrating with me.

Which address does your spouse live at (considering your spouse might not live in the USA) - Same a YOUR present address in the UK? No. Same as the intended US address? Yes (I'm going to move in with him, which is why I'm moving to this address.

So I think you would answer, No to the first question and Same as the intended US address for the second.

Remember this form is also used for Diversity Visa applicants so the questions have to be slightly ambiguous.

Edit: Remember that the DS-260 is intended to be completed by the beneficiary, not the petitioner. Although the petitioner is allowed to complete it, ALL questions should be answered from the beneficiary's perspective.

This wait is so difficult. If you are anything like me, you will feel so helpless. Do everything in your power to push it to the back of your mind for a couple of weeks. Good luck!

There are lots of great technological tools these days. I have a Skype subscription to the US. It doesn't cost too much each month, but I paid around $100 for a 12 month subscription. I can call UK landlines and US cells & landlines at no extra cost. I use this to call my husband at home, or the NVC.

Another option which is free is to use facebook messenger on your cell phone. It will come out of your data allowance, or home wifi if you have your phone connected, but it's free cell to cell calls anywhere in the world.

Oh great so your all sent, thought you were paying tons in phone bills. :D I just have a regular cell, it's my husband that's the tech king. :D.

Counting the days...

Same here, like watching grass grow during a drought. :(
