Welcome to NVC, let the waiting start. Pending the time of waiting for your Case number and IIN, try to gather all the documents that you need for your AOS so you can send them in as soon as NVC notify you. And don't forget to read Saylin's Wiki or the 1st page of the thread.

Spoke to NVC just now - didn't get the name of the representative, but she gave me a bit of a heart attack saying that my AOS documentation was not showing in her system and it should be by now(!). I got a bit panicky and asked to speak to a supervisor (the rep was nice, whoever she was - very understanding that I'd be freaking out after the DS261 fiasco and now this!

Anyway, spoke to "Supervisor Ike" who calmed me down (a bit) saying that they weren't up to that date on the EP emails (so who knows if they're on the same day of EP emails as Inquiry emails?) and once they got there, they would put my "sent" date as the date received into the system).

He also put me on hold for a minute and said that he had personally reviewed my DS261 and the IV fee should appear in the next couple of days (Now, seriously, NVC, was that really so hard?)

We're also moving at the end of this month (actually, we're going on a gigantic road trip and giving up our falling-down rental house, so we're getting our mail sent to my sister's address), so I asked him about changing my address in the system, and he said I shouldn't do it until we'd actually moved... which I guess makes sense - I was just so thrilled that something was actually getting done that I kinda wanted to do everything all at once, while I had someone on the phone with actual power to fix things!

Feeling a little less desperate, now.

Help!!!!

I am feeling so sad and frustrated(surprise surprise) because I mistakenly opened up the DS-261 after I had already completed it. I first completed it around 5/23, and now, because I accidentally opened it back up, it is showing completed as of 6/20, and the representative I spoke to said there was nothing they could do about it....I just have to wait like I am back in the queue from the beginning?!?!?!!?

Has anyone else made a similar mistake? Am I going to have to wait double the time now??

My spouse and I have been apart for over a year now. I feel like I am coming to a breaking point.

If someone can give me some words of encouragement, advice or wisdom, I/we'd truly appreciate it. Thank you!!!!

i submitted AOS paket 1 month ago.. my cuzn is supporting me and i sent all if his 3 years tax etc papers.. he had his own business since 2 months he is jobless.. so wat to do nw i dnt know..

So your joint sponsor has lost his job 2 months ago? and you filed the AOS 1 month ago?

That would mean the information he put on the AOS was accurate and up to date (primarily referring to his current income). Did he still then make enough in the year 2014 to be a joint sponsor?

I'm not sure what your question would be. Maybe you can clarify what the concern is. Please:)

Hi everyone, how do you post photos here?

I'm no expert, but click on the 'Image' icon in the posting toolbar at the top of your reply box, and paste the image's URL.

Hi, USCIS just received the I-130 yesterday (June 19, 2014) thru USPS tracking. I was wondering what is the next step and about how long would it take for me to receive a receipt that they actually receive it. Thanks

They'll send an NOA1, review your case and follow with an NOA2 weeks or months later - depending on too many things to elaborate on here. Then it comes to the NVC for processing, which is what this thread focusses on. Good luck!

Head on into the June filer's thread found here:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/500107-june-2014-i-130-filers/

hey guys... still stuck on NVC for like 7 months now... and now for personal reasons i want to quit... how do i do that without making problems for any future process? is there any way can my husband come back and keep the process going?

Oh no :( Not sure what happened and you don't have to explain here, but clearly things stopped for you in March by your signature...

I hope Saylin's advice answered your questions as I have no idea, but wanted to wish you the best in whatever you decide. :luv:

from where can i see the waiting list of pakstanis for interview ?

yes, study this:

CASE COMPLETE- checklist cost me 23 days

actually I feel anticlimactic - been so stressed - honestly will not relax until after I have an interview date and have my plane ticket purchased- I am going to the interview and reunite my family -- I am allowing 10 days to button everything up there and bring them back with me.

but -- having a case complete is another notch in my timeline--

the whole process is horrible.

So sorry to hear :(

If you want to end the process, then I'd suggest contacting NVC, they should be able to explain what to do. And if they don't mention it, I'd also contact USCIS and tell them you wish to end the process.

If in the future you want to try again (either with the same person or someone else), then you won't have problems. You may have some extra questions at the interview (about what had happened), but ending the process won't have any negative consequences.

As long as you tell NVC and USCIS about closing your case, your husband shouldn't be able to keep the process going after that. And if you want to go a step further, you can even alert the embassy/consulate about closing the case.

Got it, thanks saylin... Still deciding... very unsure... ill let u know... ya know for ur list...
