May 16th still not reviewed. She did confirm that they do a range at one time but couldn't tell me the exact dates (fooey).

I mentioned the delays in getting correspondence and I also mentioned my concern about interview date. I told her my husband has plans to be out of the country in August (not to the USA) and I wanted to know who do I talk to about re-scheduling as chances are I will need to. She said I should apply for interview expedite. It won't speed up NVC, but it will for the interview date.

I was always under the impression expedites were for dire circumstances. He's not leaving the country for work, but the travel plans are non-refundable and non-transferable. I think it's logical to assume they don't care about that. Soooo I'm not sure if I should bother, even though Paige told me our case will not get pulled out of queue and delayed as a result of the expedite request.

Thoughts? Concerns? Questions?

The person I talked to said my file is completed because it meets the criteria for a case completion even with a few documents missing because they can be presented at the time of interview... so I won't get another "case complete date" when they finally open the envelope they have that are containing these documents...

But right now my case says I am missing 2 documents which are sitting in an envelope somewhere in their possession, so once they open that, they'll amend my case and it will still remain *complete* and it will say that my husband will no longer need to bring x document and y document to his interview in London. The agent was very nice and said not to worry, that it won't affect me getting an interview in any way (I was worried with them still working on my documents at NVC that my case was somehow still open and that I couldn't be on the list for an interview.) He also said that this happens often... (weird.) Oh and the agent also said once that last envelope that they have is opened, no matter what is in it, my case will be packaged up and sent off to the London embassy and that they cannot send anything off until all packages are opened on their end.

So going off what this man said, since they got your package in their system before your CC it sounds like you will have to wait for them to open it and and add it to your completed package before mailing it off to your embassy. In the mean time you'll get your interview date.

My last package probably won't be opened until the first week of July. By that time I should have an interview date but the package will still have plenty of time to make it to the embassy in Australia. My interview won't be until late July is I am VERY lucky or early/middle August

I wish I would not have sent in that last package! Oh well, I could possibly have items missing as well (I didn't ask when I called yesterday).

I will call tonight and if the agent that i speak to offers any more information I will post it.

Hey I have asked this question before but just making sure again. Husband was employed from June 2013 and income above the poverty guidelines. But he didn't file taxes before that because they have a family business so he wasn't employed he just used to help out. So if we send just 2013 taxes would we need a joint sponsor or should we be ok? Problem is his taxes started going from June.

You can always try. To request an expedite, all you have to do is send an email to nvcexpedite@state.gov... There's nothing to lose

I got an expedite approved but it was due to the delicate political situation in my country.. Violent protests. murders, insecurity etc...

The expedite was approved 2 weeks after I sent the email.. Good luck!

What exactly happens if Nvc approves expedite? Do they review packages faster or gives us invoice earlier? Or is the interview scheduled earlier?

They invoice fees and review packages normally, they only 'expedite' the interview date.

So I still have to wait like everybody else, and respond to checklists if issued .... Once they approve the packages, they'll send them to the consulate and schedule an interview right away.

I think that Venezuela's embassy is not very busy, but I really need to travel to the US before Aug 31st, so I decided to request the expedite...

Mine are the same, I think the reason for them to unbold cuz it does not enough space for bold

so they had room on your case status and not mine?

I wish i knew what it was before. I have a feeling that everything was bold before.

Can you check the attached screenshot and tell me if you have the two boxed items as bold or not bold?

I think this is just a minor design change. Mine looks just like that now. I think that changed this morning?

Soon I'll start pondering what the NVC reps drank that morning from the color of the checklist letter they send me. Mental note to myself: start wearing surgical gloves for opening mail I if plummet to this level, not all stains are caused by coffee spills.

It was scanned in on May 15th. Wishing the best for you! I sent in 2 packages as well, like 9 days apart but USPS was so unreliable they got there 1 day apart.

This ties in with what someone mentioned a month ago that after a certain period (two months?), NVC would close a case as is and sends it off to the consulate. This CC seems to confirm it, but I could be wrong.

When I said "the same" that means mine the same as the attached screenshot. It does not means the same font on mine.
