Hi everyone.

The best alarm call this morning. As my alarm went off so did the beep that another email had come in on my phone. Had to do a double take yo check it really was from NVC.

After waiting exactly 30 days we received the IV invoice. Hubby paid it. Lawyer couriering IV package tomorrow.

What a sad little life I lead that I have been walking on air today just because I received an invoice!

Oh well the waiting begins again now.

Great to see lots of good news today.

Come on bdrew I am waiting for your CC and Sukie your interview date. Great that you got that medical out the way Sukie.

Off to cook dinner.

In this rollercoaster ride, these little things give us hope. One step closer yay!!!

Yay! Congratulations!!!! :jest::dance:

My AOS package was scanned on May 16, I'm close!

May I ask why were you expecting a checklist? What was the missing document that you sent later??

I'm also paranoid about getting a cheklist

Hi there,

Thank you :)

I sent in my Form 2555 for foreign income. Technically, my taxes were incomplete but they must have been okay because I earn below the thresh hold for taxable income ($90,000) so my Gross Adjusted Income is $0. Also, I have a contracted job already in the USA that starts July 28th and I provided evidence of this.

they said you can bring those items to the interview? so they closed your case?

Yes, I'm sorry I was trying to post quickly on my break. :) My checklist letter says:

"We have finished reviewing your case. We will tell you when we set an interview
date for your case. Please do not contact the U.S. Embassy or Consulate in
LONDON, GREAT BRITAIN AND NORTHERN IRELAND about your
interview until we give you the date."

I just don't like that the items I have to bring are the two exact items I just submitted in my checklist on May 12th. I don't know if they lost them or they just didn't review them at all.

So my case was closed today and I got the email at 4:05pm EST.

Our IR-1/CR-1 Timeline: (I'm the petitioner)

Hi guys,

I have a question about calling NVC. Is it really necessary to call them to see if they reviewed our packages? I expect to see this info on the portal, where it says Affidavit of Support Documents & Financial Evidence and Civil Documents. Currently it says N/A. I figured that will change once our case is updated.

Am I being too optimistic? Should we still call and not expect to see info online?

The portal doesn't give that info.

It does not even tell you when you get Case Complete.

The best way is to call, or you can wait for the CC email. it usually comes 7 to 8 days after actuall CC.

Why are you concerned about a checklist? Just curious. Is it because you think they might only focus on one of the packages and say they still "need" the other? I ask because I did that too and am hoping I don't get a checklist either.

You won't receive a check list for that. My theory is, it is better to send them together. I sent mine in the same envelope and I have gotten a Case Complete before others who sent in before me. Good luck! :)

My AOS hasn't changed and I'm just worried about a checklist since I mailed them together. I'll try to call tonight. My husband goes back on Thursday, I'd love a CC before he leaves.

Hi there, you will not receive a check list for that :) I sent mine together and did not get a check list!
