It's up to you, but I decided to wait for the email to fill out the DS-261 form since many people are having problems with the form. :wacko:

I noticed that I could fill out the form last Wed and received the email on Thursday so the email arrived the next day. Waiting for 1 day won't make much difference. I just wanted to play on the safe side. :yes:

Yeah one day I can definitely wait :) hopefully I will get the email Tomm!

You should be fine to fill it out right now. I didn't wait for any email to fill it out and everything looks good so far. :)

make sure you dont leave anything blank in 864. Either write N/A or None.

I'm sending my AOS package today! Here is what I'm mailing. Please let me know if I'm missing anything!

· Bar-coded document cover sheet

· Cover letter

· I-864 form (signed and dated with all 9 pages)

· 2013 tax transcript (not including the 2012 or 2011 tax transcript to simplify the package)

· Employment letter

· Pay stubs (since Jan, 2014)

· 2014 Property Assessment Notice (we're including our property info just in case)

· Discharge/release of mortgage letter (we own 100 percent of our home)

· Property title certificate (showing our names as the owners of our home)

· US domicile (intent to re-establish US domicile) documents:

o US Employment letter (the petitioner is continuing the current employment and working from the US)

o Buyer’s Agency Agreement with a real estate agent in Seattle. (we are looking for a house in Seattle)

o Purchase offer letter of our home in Canada. (this shows that we are preparing to move back to the US)

o Vote by Mail Ballot Application (this indicates that the petitioner often still votes in US elections)

07-09-13 - Application received at Chicago Lockbox NOA1

01-03-14 - Transfer notice to Nebraska

01-06-14 - Application received at Nebraska

03-13-14 - NOA2 notification

03-25-14 - NVC received case

04-24-14 - Case number and IIN received over the phone

05-02-14 - Paid AOS Fees

05-06-14 - Sent AOS package

05-07-14 - AOS Fees showed up as paid

05-08-14 - AOS package received at NVC (Scanned on may 8th)

05-08-14 - IV Bill showed up and paid

05-12-14 - Sent IV package overnight

05-13-14 - IV package received at NVC (Scanned on may 15th)

06-05-14 - AOS Checklist for not having N/A written for "Place of Residence" (checklist info received over the phone).

06-09-14 - AOS Checklist - I864EZ delivered today.

06-11-14 - I864EZ got scanned today.

06-13-14 - Sent original marriage and birth certificate out to NVC. (Received at NVC 06-16-14)

06-16-14 - received fake checklist asking for 864ez and marriage certificate

06-20-14 - Marriage and Birth certificate scanned

07-23-14 - Case complete (Talked to Don at NVC on 7/24) -- Received CC email 7/30

08-01-14 - Interview date assigned (Sept 9th)

08-05-14 - Received Interview Letter via email

09-10-14 - Visa Approved

09-11-14 - Paid the extortion fees

I submitted the stupid form twice already, it still shows as incomplete. I'm not touching it until I get an email back from the supervisor

UGH, :wow: that's so stupid...hopefully i won't get another incomplete...=(

hopefully things can start moving smoothly.... :ranting::sleepy:

they should start approving cases without interviews.. lol...that will be awesome :goofy: or at least finish our cases altogether and they won't have backlog or something...

then we can all live happily ever after so we won't bother them ever again :secret:

Thanks! I think I've done that as long as I was able to fill something ("N/A", "Not Applicable", or "None") using Adobe Acrobat. :yes:

okay, so my daughter's case was completed on may 5, today i received a checklist letter and I was like "oh no not again" but the good news is I can bring the missing document on our interview day(thank god!). Anyway, still waiting for my case to be completed(checklist was scanned on may 16). Hope and pray that this week is the last week of our NVC journey. Fingers crossed :)

oh umm that checklist is for my daughter's case, it says something is missing or incorrect but I can bring the form on the day of our interview so no worries for me.The checklist that was scanned on may 16, that was mine. I haven't call NVC yet. My husband and I call only once a week( every Friday ) :)

I don't understand how they could have started on the 16th when us 13ths and 14ths are waiting still...makes no sense to me. I'm so worried about a checklist. :/ What are the normal reasons for a checklist? I'm trying to make sure I can cover all my bases and be ready if they send me one, God forbid.
