I apologize, I've been at work and getting bits and pieces of this.

As I'm understanding now, the interviews aren't done electronically.

So NVC ships out our cases to the embassies for them to schedule the interview? Sorry, slept like 2 hours last night.

No, embassies send NVC a schedule with their open time slots, then NVC books the interviews. After the scheduling is done NVC notifies the embassies and ships cases out to them.

Definitely keep trying! They may not even be allowed to make predictions for case processing, but they can at least tell you whether scheduling is occurring. I had case complete on April 3rd and another UK filer had an interview assigned on April 2nd, I was absolutely beside myself wondering if we were going to make the cutoff or not  I called daily and every operator told me interview scheduling status.

Lucky duck! I get an informed and helpful agent maybe 20% of the times I call. lol I am still waiting for a case complete. Being really hopeful - this Friday! Being realistic - next week or after. <_<

We ended up getting an interview in a sneaky second round of scheduling, after I'd lost all hope and reconciled myself to a month of waiting before getting our date. It was a huge surprise. I hope NVC has some good surprises in store for you too! I think my tendency to call in the evening helped me dodge the less pleasant operators. It was easier to get through calling straight away in the morning, but if I did that I was always afraid an update would happen in the evening and I'd miss it :bonk:

Thank you! ^_^ Honestly, if it weren't for the fact that our 1st anniversary is July 27th, I wouldn't mind if we got an August interview, but it looks like we're gonna be celebrating it a little later than we had hoped. I'm flying to London after his interview to help him bring stuff back and also join the leaving parties.

bdrew is a week ahead of us so I always follow her timeline bc it's been spot on throughout this process. lol If she gets her CC today, I'm looking at next Monday! :)

I submitted both of my parents DS-261 on May 20 and May 21, no IV invoice yet. Plus, there obviously is something wrong with their system, as so many people myself included get INCOMPLETE on the forms completed weeks or even months ago

Should I wait for an email before submitting ds261?

It's up to you, but I decided to wait for the email to fill out the DS-261 form since many people are having problems with the form.

I noticed that I could fill out the form last Wed and received the email on Thursday so the email arrived the next day. Waiting for 1 day won't make much difference. I just wanted to play on the safe side.
