Oath experience:

Oath was at 7.30am and we were asked to come about 30 minutes early.

Once you go past the security(again no food/water allowed) and cell phones on vibrate, you are asked to sit in the waiting hall.

A USCIS officer will ask Oath applicants to form a line and checks their Oath letter and Permanent Resident card. Oath applicants are then taken to the main hall and seated and once they are seated, family and friends are then allowed.

There were about 100 new US citizens from about 42 countries!!!

The ceremony was about 45 minutes and at the end they distributed everyone's naturalization certificates.

Hillsborough Election staff were on-site for voter registration. Previously, USPS was on-site for taking passport application, no more. you are being asked to goto nearest post office to apply for US passport.

Overall, a positive experience and we were out by 9AM.

We will be travelling to Miami tomorrow to see if we can get same-day passport as international travel is immenient.

Hey people, sorry i took so long to update when i got my interview letter and date, I got my interview letter the 6 of sept, and my interview will be the 9 of October, Now would any one please advise what proofs can i bring to interview supporting my trip that lasted 6 months and 13 days in 2010.....im planning in bringing my fathers rent lease for years 2009 & 2012 (to show them that an immediate family remained in the usa) and for showing that i had a usa based business (to show that i did not leave my usa job) i will bring my income tax for the last 4 years as i did not worked in 2009.... any other advise guys, or you think i wil be just fine with these things......i was studying in college on 2009 2010 in Dominican republic that's why i had that trip, you guys think that would be a problem??

In the USCIS Cincy field office page, it says 3-4 ceremonies per month.

But looks like based on the demand, they end up with only one per month.

Today only 56 people took the oath, so you can guess.

What is your GC date? I don't know if in 2010 you are looking back based on 3-year or 5-year.

Hi guys,

To those of you who have already have their interviews: What supporting documents did you guys bring with you? I'm applying based on 3 year rule. My yellow letter said to bring only ID and passport. The appointment letter looks pretty general, i put together everything from the document check list, but was wondering what kind of proof of marital union did you guys have. I'm taking our joint: lease, bank statement, taxes, health insurance, electric/gas bill, e-net/tv bill, car insurance, plus a few photos. Is that good enough or am i forgetting something? Thanks!!

Hi guys,

To those of you who have already have their interviews: What supporting documents did you guys bring with you? I'm applying based on 3 year rule. My yellow letter said to bring only ID and passport. The appointment letter looks pretty general, i put together everything from the document check list, but was wondering what kind of proof of marital union did you guys have. I'm taking our joint: lease, bank statement, taxes, health insurance, electric/gas bill, e-net/tv bill, car insurance, plus a few photos. Is that good enough or am i forgetting something? Thanks!!

My husband and I don't really have any bills that are in both our names. All our household bills are on one name or the other. Our mortgage is through his Dad (but I do have a written and notarized contract for that loan with both our names). I also have our joint bank account info. Other than that, nothing has both our names on it. Not sure what to do.

In your case, it sounds like you have more than enough evidence (Except marriage license and birth certificates of your kids, if any)

Thank you! I will include our marriage license. When I applied for citizenship, I submitted only IRS transcripts for 3 years, so was gonna bring more things to the interview. I don't think they are as strict as when we are applying for the initial GR or ROC, but who knows..

Applied and received the passport the same-day. This brings an end to our journey with immigration and VJ but I'll hang around...

IT'S so strange it seem LA is not moving … no july or may interviews schedule.

I'm applying based on the 5 year rule; and I have been a green card holder since I was 4 years old and im now 26...but I have always lived in D.R and come here just for vacation

What is your GC date? I don't know if in 2010 you are looking back based on 3-year or 5-year.
