My dad interview was may 12 and consul said that it was approve when he went to the last window the guy said he need to get a cenomar and nbi letter of explanation so after the interview he went straight to nso and get the cenomar the lady said theyre the one that will send the cenomar to usem but the nbi letter of explanation the guy said he doesnt have to do anything coz theyre the one that will request to nbi and nbi will send the letter to usem directly then he said to just go home and wait for the visa within 2-4 days its been 2 week and we havent got the visa and when i check it online it just keep updating to administrative processing saying to send the document thru 2go..i dont know what to do now

We had a 221(g), in fact we knew that it would happen because of the circumstances to a 10 year old case that we had been working to correct early on before the interview. Two months before the interview my wife visits the NBI in Mindanao with all the supporting documents to correct her NBI. They excepted the documents and stated that the problem would be corrected in Manila. So we go through the interview and lo and behold, the problem was never corrected and the USEM required documentation from NBI, hence the 221(g) after the interview. Next day she goes to Manila NBI and inquires and finds out that her record was never updated to show the new information. On that visit she got the records update but they could not inform USEM of the corrected record till USEM requested a new NBI with explanation. So we has to wait additional two weeks for the matter to clear up. Shortly afterwards the visa was issued.

It's a process that can be frustrating. Keep working on clearing up your information and you will soon have your visa.

Normally when you are missing a document they want you to send the document to them through 2Go. You can call or email them to confirm it, but that is the normal procedure.

When documents are requested by the embassy NSO will handle the process of forwarding them to the embassy once the person as applied and PAID for the CENOMAR, very normal, the individual doesn't send them.

Does that only apply to the CENOMAR or to all Philippine Government documents?

Since the OP was getting contradictory advice from the embassy, it seems they don't even know.

It applies for NSO and NBI. OP wasn't getting contradictory advice, the person at the last window told him what documents were required, NSO and NBI know what to do once the person applies.

(OP - Once USEM receives these documents it can still take weeks before final approval, just need to be patient)

Has your wife gotten her visa yet?

My wife had her interview on may 14th and went through the AP process because she didnt have my payslips and W2(I dont remember that being mentioned because Affidavit of Support only required tax returns for the past 3 years) and we dont know how long the AP process takes in the philippines.

Instructions letter does asks for the tax return and W-2. Not having the W-2 at the interview was an  for sure. ;)

hello. Me and my son had our interview last May 8 too. We were told that we're approved but will be in AP because my son's Medical Report's not yet submitted to them. The consul officer told me, there's nothing to worry about and just wait for our visa to be delivered. We didn't get any 221g letter. May 12, i decided to call St Lukes to ask about my son's medical report. I found out that his medical report was still there, and mine was submitted on May 5. I was so pissed that time cos why my medical report was submitted before the interview and my son's wasnt? He had no problem with his medical exam, in fact he only had few exams because he is just a toddler. I told them to submit the medical report as soon as possible and im glad they did submit it later that day. March 14, the consular officer who interviewed us received the Report already. And until now, my case status is still Ready for Interview and my sons' still AP. Hopefully we'll have our visa issued this week. Waiting sucks.

We have exactly the same situation. Our k1 interview was last June 2.My medical was done May 15. My son has completed his medical last May 29. Theres a slight delay on his part since he got postive on skin test when we were there last May 15 so he was advised to have chest xray. Since it was already a friday, we were told to comeback the the following monday. Since we live in Negros, we went home coz i work too. I called st lukes prior our interview to ask if his chest xray is ok then they told me its negative. So we went back there last May 29 to have his immunization. That was a thursday. I reminded them that our interview will be in 3 days. And he said dont worry Maam we will forwarD it to the embassy this afternoon. I took his word for that. So its already June 2 and we passed our interview since the consul did not give us 221g form and kept all our documents. She just said that the only lacking docs that we have is his medical result coz it was not yet forwarded and i should not worry coz it will just take a couple of days. And i was advised to wait at the other counter. It was already 12:15nn. While were waiting, we were told to have lunch first and comeback at 1pm. So we went out had lunch and went straight to st lukes to personally talk to that person who told me he would forward my sons result on thirsday. Upon checking his computer, he found out that his medical was just forwarded to the embassy just on the morning of our interview so naturally it was not yet on the hands of the consul.

In short, we arrived at the embassy 45mins late of the 1pm they told us. I went straight to the releasing counter but was told our documents were filed again since they kept calling our queue number at 1pm. He just told me that he will just stamp our documents CLEARED meaning we went to that window already. I asked if he can see in his computer if we lack anything for compliance, he looked tired already and looks lime he doenst want to answer some of my clarification. He just said they will have to wait for the medical of my son. I was nkt really satisfomied with his amswer coz he looks like he was in a hurry already. He advised me to go the 2go counter to give our delivery address amd wait for our dox to be delivered.after that, he closed the blinds on his window. Since our interview was june 2, there was an update last june 3 that my status is still ready (about the interview thing) and my son on AP (about to submit any lacking doc required by embassy but we were not tomd about it). As of today no movement yet. I dont know what mistake have i done in the process. Im worried it will delay us long and i feel like im hanging in a limbo and in a black hole. Thanks everyone for your advises.

Hi, everyone.

I had my interview 6/3. It went smoothly but I was told they need a CENOMAR. I thought an NSO issued marriage contract with annotation of its nullity and voidance would be enough. I received two successive emails that afternoon giving me instructions on how to go about requesting NSO for a CENOMAR and having it delivered directly to the US embassy. I attended to it right away. Now I am just waiting and hoping for a quick action. I guess that's our best option. To do what is asked of us then wait patiently.
