Hi all,

My husband is filling for I-751 for me and my daughter. We received GC at the same time through AOS, but last year my daughter legally changed her name through a court process. She is 17 years old and will be listed in my application as dependent child removing condition at the same time. Can someone help me with these questions?

1. Should I use new name in I-751, or the name that is on conditional GC for my daughter?

2. If I use new name, what document is needed other than court decree?

3. What name new GC will be issued on?

Thank you.

P

Use the new name, include a certified copy of the court order changing her name, new green card will have the new name. And of course all the other stuff required. Hubby did the same thing and by changing it when you remove conditions it saves you some money.
