Kc yep. Provided they don't stick me in ap purgatory I should have the visa itself in another week or two. And I'm hoping in about seven weeks I'll be riding the bus home from my last shift at the office.

Mixed feelings about that, honestly. Not being able to work for a bit...yikes!

I thought I'd be sad about leaving my job at home, but my last shift I was like YAY! But now after not working for almost 3 months.. I miss it some days! Definitely gets a bit boring... but it is kind of nice having a break! I do watch wayy too much netflix while my husband is at work haha.

Lol yeah, I may have to beg Jesse for netflix, I don't think he has it now!! At the very least he must get me a library membership!! Lol.

Interestingly enough I got an email on Saturday from DHL (loomis) saying my passport has been picked up from the consular section and within a few days I should be able to pick it up in Calgary, here's the waybill number.

Faster than I anticipated.

Just tracked it...it's already in Calgary. Hot damn.

Parked outside waiting for this place to open...nine more minutes! Thank goodness I have a couple "unassigned" days this week (days I'm not covering anyone's desk) so I can come in a bit late...though I have the feeling hr may panic anyway (like they did with when I got my measles shot...get a text from another assistant "hr is looking for you!!" but I had reminded them even the day before that I'd be late...oh hr...eye roll...)

Dealt with a lady named Sharon - opened the package checked the seals on the DO NOT OPEN envelope (still intact - folks if they're not do not accept delivery). Did the standard warnings - don't cross the border til you're ready to go, don't open the envelope (she actually put it in a new courier bag and sealed it to protect it further)

And I brought my old laptop to work and hopefully I'll be able to do something with my house inventory and save everything on a USB stick. Whee.

They had a computer glitch apparently, so I emailed the embassy a week after my interview. I just got the waybill over the weekend. I should also track it and get it in hand.
