ok thanks for the reply.the reason I asked is because my friend here in the US is sponsoring his wife and they just scheduled their interview without any letter frm the embassy. today was his wife's interview(which they scheduled themselves). his wife was told by the consul that they have to wait for the NVC letter of appointment and that their document havent been recieved yet( when he called the NVC in march he was told that their papers have been sent to the US em mla & as soon as he saw his case status was ready and got the MLA case #,he waited for an open slot and got may 5).

I assume they process K1 diferrently from spousal petition.

I also have a friend who did the K1 early last year and never got such letter from the embassy before their sched interview. Her fiancee or should i say her husband now was already in the US when that said letter from the embassy finally arrived @ the beneficiary's mailing address in davao.

Hi! My friend who's going to the interview with me next week is a Spouse Visa holder or K2. They recieved their NVC letter with the schedule for interview in the US embassy here in Manila. That means the letter that your friend waiting for has the schedule for the interview. I suggest for them to wait. I have no idea for how long.

Hi! Yes, k1 visa and k2 or spouse visa are different when it comes to processing. My friend who's going to the interview with me next week is a Spouse Visa holder or K2. That letter rarely arrives, for sure don't wait for it. Schedule your interview date online it is just as easy, plus if any random dates show up (on the left side of the dashboard) you can quickly grab it. When calling to schedule they look at the same calendar as you do (or lack of calendar like right now being there are no available interview dates), so there is no advantage to call for scheduling.

For sure DO NOT wait for any letter from the embassy, as long as you have your MNL # you are good to go...

It is ROCK 'n' ROLL time!

Follow the flashing arrow ..

Once you have paid BPI and got your account setup you can start watching for an appointment date.

Thanks!

June is gone, watching for July to be released right now. There may be random May & June dates from cancellations still so keep checking the dashboard often, look to the left side where it will show the earliest appt available (when there is one)

On a few timelines I have seen June interview dates. I'm looking for a late June/early July. Wonder what's the stats for releasing new months' dates in the past? I suppose I should read the last few months posts on this topic "no dates available." Let me know if you see July open up! Good luck!
