Hey Everybody,

New here as we just received our interview date today. I have searched the forum and the web for the Interview Fee's and cannot find anything at all. Is there a fee that needs to be paid at the interview or at the POE? Thank you.

nothing AT the interview. After the interview and approval, there is a $165 fee called Green Card Issuance fee that they recommend to pay prior to POE.

Hi guys,

Two questions.

First, the tax forms we bring to the interview- it's just a photo copy of our returns filed (with signature) to the IRS, correct? Do we need to include a photocopy of the check too?

Second, anyone know how long after interview the passport gets returned for Japan? Apparently we have to bring a posted envelope and they mail the passport back; they claim 1-2 weeks and I'm curious what people's experiences have been.

Hey Guys! Here's an update to our case. I had my hubby to call his embassy today and we got an earlier interview!!! They moved us from June 16th to June5th! YAY!!! :dance::dance: :dance: :dance::dance:

And now I can finally say that I have my interview date, too! We got the email today, and our interview is scheduled for June 23rd. :) Congratulations to all those who have gotten interview dates already, and the best of luck to those who are still waiting!

I showed the kids that Daddy's Medical is a week from tomorrow, and that if all goes well, he should be here by sometime the week of the 24th, next month, and they started cheering and dancing around like lunatics. Sure as hell beats hysterical crying. :P Just treading water here, waiting for June 17th to get here. (Our request for an earlier interview date was denied.) I hope everyone else is doing alright.

Yay Kaylara!!!!!! I just got our interview moved up to June 5th! So happy and excited for us!!! And you! And everyone here!!!! It's so breathtaking to finally be HERE!!!!!!

Had a quick question. I was looking at our Interview Letter trying to get everything organized and had a question. It says that the petitioners birth certificate is on the document list. Is this required? Here's a listing of what's on there:

You will need to pay the $165 Immigrant Fee at the USCIS site after the visa is issued and before POE. Here is the link:

Copy of new I-864 (with 2013 info) plus 2013 Tax Forms +W2s+1099s (if any) or 2013 Tax Transcript. No need to copy the check.

Normally I wouldn't add the pay stubs and bank statements but I'm living in Canada with my wife and working in the states so I needed them to prove US Domicile. Just curious what is the eligibility document.

Does anybody know how long it takes Montreal to return Passport after interview. Hubby is coming here to Canada to help me move and he will need to book the time off soon. Need to get a rough estimate of what kind of time frame we are looking at to schedule his time off. Thnks

You mean they actually take the existing Canadian passport away from you at the interview and don't give it back?!

March 3: AOS Bill Invoiced & Paid

March 6: AOS Bill showing paid

March 6: AOS Packet sent EP (I did not know at the time but 3 attachments were JPEG's, only PDF's are accepted)

March 12: EP enrollment confirmation received

March 13: Resent AOS packet email as I am confused if they received original since EP enrollment confirmation was received by me after AOS was sent.

March 14: Resent AOS packet as I realized previous two packets had JPEG's in them. This is my first correct packet with all PDF's.

March 17: Resent AOS packet for the 4th time with all PDF's and finally got a confirmation of receipt. This one was the only one sent during "business hours"

March 20: IV Bill Invoiced & Paid

March 24: IV Bill Shows Paid and DS260 Available online

March 25: Supervisor states AOS packet approved

March 27: DS260 & Supporting Documents submitted

April 18: False checklist for IV Packet

May 4: Checklist requesting proof of eligibility (passport or BC). Wrote a nasty note back with a passport attached since they already had both as its part of the IV Packet duh

May 13: NVC Approval Email

May 28: Medical Exam Completed

June 25: Interview Montreal
