It depends on your embassy. Some embassies are busier than others and will cap out much faster, especially if there is a few month backlog of folks waiting , like Egypt for example.

hello! i was wondering if you have gotten your passport yet? i saw you were issued the vida the 8th at the london embassy; my husband was issued the visa the 9th, but we have yet to receive the email chris was talking about with the tracking number. he received the email two business days after, just wondering where you were standing... hope you get to fly the 17th! my husband booked his ticket for the 25th and we are starting to get nervous now!!!

It's so funny you ask this question as I have just this second picked up my 'package' from the depot in London.

I got my acceptance on 8th May and from the website seems passport was sent on 9th May (that's when it was last updated so I guessed). I was waiting until yesterday to receive email from embassy but was not getting anything through so I decided to give the courier company a call directly to find out and when I called at 10am they had nothing but told me they get packages all day long from the embassy so asked me to call later. I called at 6pm an they told me my package had arrived and is ready to collect from them.

Tell your husband to give them a call, this is their number: 0844 371 0000

They will ask you for the tracking number or postcode for delivery, I have a feeling yours will be there ready to collect but the depots I think close at 4pm for collection so don't lose hope your husband has enough time to fly out on 25th.

As for me, booked my 1 way flight ticket last night :)

The CEAC website now shows "In Transit" instead of "At NVC" :dancing:

Anyone else going to Mumbai show this status? Has anyone been able to track the packgae at DHL.

I would definitely keep calling - it looks like there has been a steady stream of continual scheduling this month. You could get lucky ;)

I-130 for both parents

March 28th 2013 - Priority date/ NOA 1
November 14th 2013 - Transferred to Nebraska Service Center

January 7th 2014 - Case changed online to approved for both

January 8th 2014 - case changed to shipped to NVC

January 9th 2014 - case changed to NOA 2 mailed

January 10th 2014 - Received the hardcopy of the NOA 2 stating that NVC would issue a case number in 30 days approx.

January 21st 2014 - Case Received at NVC

February 26th 2014 - Case numbers and IIN number received - Wrong embassy code assigned...now waiting for new case numbers.

March 3rd 2014 - Filled in DS-261 for both parents

March 5th 2014- AOS available, paid and submitted AOS packet.

March 6th 2014 - USPS shows packet was delivered at NVC

March 10th 2014 - AOS shows as paid in the CEAC portal/AOS logged into system as being received by NVC.

March 11th 2014 - New case number assigned for my Dad.

March 20th 2014 - Paid IV fee for my Mum.

March 25th 2014 - AOS accepted by NVC with no checklist.

March 26th 2014 - Filled in and submitted DS-260 for my Mum

March 31st 2014 - AOS found in my Mum's file for my Dad - accepted and placed into his file/IV fee available for my Dad and Paid.

April 1st - Mailed all civil documents to NVC for both parents.

April 3rd: IV fee shows as paid in portal/submitted DS-260 for my Dad.

April 22nd: checklist issued for civil documents - NVC error ...

April 23rd: sent another certified copy of my marriage certificate

April 24th: Case complete! :)

April 30th 2014 - Medical scheduled for parents at Knightsbridge in London

June 11th: Interview at London Embassy - Approved :)

yup! We logged into the us.traveldocs page and booked our biometrics appointment and we called the mumbai rele clinic and booked our medical, they just needed to know what date and time our interview was scheduled. No one asked if we received our IL email.

Nope they said we have to go back the next day at 5pm to collect report, unless it has an issue in which case they will directly send it to the consulate
