NVC Filers - May 2014

Case was shipped to NVC April 18 2014. Called NVC April 30th and was told they just received our file. Please how soon can we get a case number and IIN?

You're probably looking at end of May as a best case scenario. They've been pretty consistent in taking a month from receiving cases to assigning numbers.

Hello i1864ez question please!

I'm the field that asks "my individual annual income is" should I put the salary I will be making this year or input the total income that matches what I made in 2013 and shows on tax transcript? Also I am aware original documents need to be submitted with IV package and need to include a photocopy. If I am submitting an original and photocopy does the photocopy need to be certified? Also I have heard that one really shouldn't leave anything blank but I am at the section that asks for place if residence and although it says "only if different from mailing address" should I leave it blank since it's the same ? Please help with tips hopefully finishing this today to get it out :)

The current annual income question isn't based on previous years' tax information, it's how much you're making CURRENTLY, right NOW as of the filing. If you're salary, use that amount. Otherwise do your wage x hours worked per week x weeks worked in a year.

No need to certify the photocopies. The point of the photocopies is so that you can get the originals/certified copies back at the interview and they will keep the photocopies.

If there's ONE question not to leave blank, that would be the one. Either write in your address or write in "same as above". DO NOT LEAVE THAT QUESTION BLANK (unless you want a checklist!)

Also I am aware original documents need to be submitted with IV package and need to include a photocopy. If I am submitting an original and photocopy does the photocopy need to be certified? No, original/certified copy plus regular photocopy Also I have heard that one really shouldn't leave anything blank but I am at the section that asks for place if residence and although it says "only if different from mailing address" should I leave it blank since it's the same ? Up to you, but some members have received a checklist for leaving this blank. I put "same as mailing address." Please help with tips hopefully finishing this today to get it out :)

Just called NVC again, I guess my daily morning call to them.

The good news is: my packets are being reviewed. Joy (I think it was her, i did not catch her name by i think i recognized her voice) said that my mail is being reviewed.

I guess I will give them couple of days before I call again.

Heck no, I'll call at end of business today or tomorrow morning!!!!

May I ask what the reasons for expedite where? Just wondering what reasons they consider good enough? Sorry they didn't expedite your case.

I asked for expedite based on the fact that my step children are in danger living with their mother. My husband needs to get custody of them but has no real support system without me being there, so the court won't give him custody. The police and child welfare/social services is involved. That's the just of it without going into too much detail on a public forum. I explained the whole situation to a supervisor but it was not a good enough reason.

Update for me...Just got off the phone with very soft-spoken Agent Kelly (I seem to get the Ks - Kelly, Kim, and Ken!!!).

My AOS is fine. Our IV packet was reviewed on May 2nd, and we will be issued a checklist for the PCC (which gets sent directly to the Consulate in Sydney - not to NVC). I told her I was concerned about the fact that I have never gotten ANY emails from NVC, even though I know they have the correct email on file. She said it "takes a few days" for them to be generated. I think I should have gotten it by now!

Anyway - I was glad to see the AOS was fine. They received my packet on April 10, but they didn't scan it in until April 15th. Looks like I made the 2013 tax cut-off!!!

COME ON EMAIL!!!
