Hi Everyone,

Not sure if someone could help me. I just realized that I forgot to include my Form 2555 with my original AOS package that was receipted in on May 15th, 2014.

Should I send it off tomorrow or wait for a checklist that will come in the next 1-2 weeks.

If I should send it, do I need to send my entire package again, or just the additional documentation with the bar code cover sheet, cover letter and letter of clarification?

Thanks!

I had a 30 minute conversation with a supervisor. This is total BS. Their system is showing mail received form the 8th ( which I sent) and from the 23rd ( which I did not send ) he said that if I get a CC this week, it is very doubtful that I will even get a July interview. They just don't work that fast. He said my file goes nowhere until all mail is reviewed. I told him that is total ####### because I didn't send anything after the 8th. SO if they complete the file I have to wait until some stupid mail THAT I DID NOT SEND is reviewed???? He offered to look at the birth cert again and he was explaining what they are allowed to accept and what I explained doesn't sound correct. He was explaining the certified copy to me. I explained that their instructions say ORIGINAL OR CERTIFIED COPY. He said he would rather not pull my file and look at it because quite possibly someone might be looking for it and he could delay it by pulling it out of the loop, So I told him to leave it alone. WHY THE HELL IS THERE MAIL IN MY FILE FROM THE 23RD??? The lawyer did not send anything because I told him I took care of the NVC part. NVC said they can tell if it is internal mail or not. The mail from the 12th and 16th were internal. This mail from the 23rd is external. He said received on the 21st and scanned on the 23rd... #######????? I'm disgusted :girlwerewolf2xn::girlwerewolf2xn:

DONE RANTING FOR THE TIME BEING :ranting:

I really hope you'll get quick resolution to this ridiculous business.

They seem to be bursting at the seams. If they cannot handle the incoming volume, why don't they relegate part of it to the Consulates that were doing just fine pre-NVC?

If only one could send HOWLERS ala Harry Potter!

Yes of course much good luck for your DS-261 and am saying a prayer all will go well. May I ask why they made your resubmit I must have missed it along the line. (F)(L)(F)

It was weird... And I'm not entirely sure what happened. I'd actually filled it in on the 9th, which was before I got the email saying it was ready. But it was available so I filled it in and got the confirmation and everything. Then they changed the interface on the website. I was checking it while we were away for our long weekend (last week) and it could be that somehow I clicked into the ds261 section, but at any rate, when I checked the web page after arriving home, I noticed that suddenly the ds261 was showing "not completed" so I resubmitted. I called NVC on Thursday, and was told that there aw no evidence of my ever having filled out the form before the resubmission on the 21st, and that it might take 15-20 days after that to get the IV fee unlocked. 2 weeks potentially lost... I am not amused. Trying not to give up hope, though, since I have recently received correspondence from NVC regarding emails I sent on the 5th. So hopefully they'll get to me soon. Especially with all your good wishes behind me!

Case Complete as of today , May 27, 2014...

Hi,

I'm currently living in Rwanda with my husband. His I-130 was approved on May 17, 2014 and we are awaiting the NVC stage. I received an email from USCIS saying that they mailed our accepted case to NVC on May 22, 2014. I followed the instructions on the NVC website regarding how to enroll in the email updates. Is this enough for them to inform me whether the case was received and to get my case number? Or, do I need to call. It's difficult being that I am located in Rwanda and I called at least 30 times yesterday and received nothing but a busy signal.

I guess to get to the point, when I see the dates that people received their case numbers and notification of case arrival to NVC, were you notified by calling? Or do they send this information in a timely manner via email?

Thanks!

Hi, glad to join the May NVCers. Our I-130 is done after over a year of processing. Now we're just waiting for the NVC to receive our case. I called their number from Shanghai, where I'll be working for a while, and I just get a busy tone. Granted this was at 10PM EST, not exactly off peak. Is this normal? Or am I just dialing the number wrong?
