I spoke to Kendall that night and she was confused ( she explained that she is new) so she said I should talk to a supervisor and she put Octavio on the phone. I didn't ask. But I am sure you could ask... the only thing they can say is NO....

I got a case number super fast and everything was submitted within the first 9 days but the Lawyer made a huge mistake and the freaking birth cert set me back.

I just had a thought... have you considered asking NVC to close your case if they don't like the birth certificate? that way, you could work directly with the embassy to see if there is indeed a problem

Sweet heart why? Do you realize how long it will take us to just get an interview then most likely AP for, God knows how many months. You don't need to delay a thing just send them in. You'll have months to wait and wait and wait. If your very lucky you might get an interview in maybe four months most likely 8 and then the AP. Send it in. Just saying, since I don't know the circumstances I might be totally wrong.

LOL! I know. You probably think I'm crazy...I know I can send it in and I probably have a wait of a year from now or something. The thing is, I might have an offer for a foreign hire contract in Egypt, but the school wants me to come for 2 years preferably. It's very good money and teaching in the US the money stinks (if you can even find a job). I'm seeing if I can delay the NVC process enough so we can enter exactly 2 years from now, instead of 1 (which like you said it will PROBABLY be at least 1 year after all is said and done from now). It's just the school director said, listen, there MAY be someone else who can do 2 years if you can't. So agreeing to 2 years may get me the job. The whole thing is not for sure,but if I don't want to agree to 2 years if it'll screw things up at NVC. I wasn't looking for a job in Egypt...just was a weird turn of events when I recently got in touch with a work contact this past week. We'll see. I just don't know how delaying NVC for 1 year from now will affect me (because most likely getting the interview will take at least 6 months and then you have another 6 months to enter...so no problem there). I will call NVC on Tuesday to see.

as I am now with my family after over a year apart. I was walking down the street

and holding my wife's hand very tight and I realized something was very different.

In the past I knew that soon enough I would have to let go and return home and all

the pain that would be involved. Just then it dawned on my heart that

I never have to let go of her hand again.

Well, I don't want to close it but if they would just complete my case and let the embassy decide it would be nice.. But they told me they can't send it to the embassy without the birth cert.

We should hear something this week. OMG I just want to buy my ticket and at the very least, know when I am flying down to be with my husband.

Oh my, I see your dilemma, I don't see how they will help you with this and I bet they will say to just start over again later. Good luck to you, hope this works out for the better. And yeah I think your crazy we all are!
