I finally got a case number late last night before nvc closed. My husband called nvc and he was given the case number, he was told the case number was available few hours ago, he was told the IIN was not available yet. Atleast am a bit relief and its more like a birthday gift to my husband because his birthday is today. We'll just call back on tuesday to request for the IIN.

Soloenta your cristal ball is damn so right. I guess I'll need more predictions from your cristal ball. Lol.

What do you mean missed the cutoff by a week? I dont understand what you are quoting there. Tax season? who told you that?

There's a section about tax information in Saylin's NVC Process Wiki that states "Up until April 14th (tax deadline), you can still use 2012 as the most recent year." We sent our AOS package a week after this date so should have been using 2013 as the most recent year not 2012.

I've now spoken to NVC about my checklist and they told me the part asking for the civil documents could be false as they are showing my IV package as still being under review. It just seems confusing, as in Saylin's Wiki it states if they ask for the entire package its a false checklist but if they ask for something specific like the Police Certificate its real. Well they did ask for the Police Certificate, and my Birth Certificate, and copy of my passport. But not the photographs or Marriage Certificate. So does this count as most of the package or specific items?

Has anyone heard any updates from Changnoi?

No but the good news is they are saying there were no casualties in the takeover by the military in Thailand, thank God. (F)(L)(F)

Random question... If I apply for financial aid for school and my dad is sponsoring for my husband.. Is there a connection between these? Will the government look at this and give me a checklist for aos or deny him coming here? For fafsa they only want to see my husband's income and for NY state they ask who am a dependent of and thats my dad.

From what others have told me as long as it's the petitioner it's ok it's the beneficiary that can't do these things. :) Good luck to you. (F)(L)(F)

I really hope so. It's getting really frustrating now.

I join that club.. Same, also waiting for the checklist to be looked at (May 7). Kind of sad to lose so many days just because there was a page missing (yes, I have lawyer who sends in everything). :(

Our Journey:

USCIS:

08-20-2013: PD I-129

01-03-2014 Transfer to TSC

02-01-2014 NOA2 both petitions

02-05-2014 I-129 sent to NVC

02-14-2014 I-130 sent to NVC

NVC:

so last night my husband booked his flight to the US, we cried like a babies :ot:

this process destroys my life!

I know the feeling, my husband traveled to the Red Sea to our apartment, I said you must have been happy to be home, his response with a very quiet and sad voice was, NO you weren't there to greet me it's just not the same without you. Made me smile and cry at the same time and I know with everything going on in his life right now and this , well it's really taking it's toll. I think sometimes that it's what they want to tear us apart save themselves an interview, but then they would lose money. ;)

But for you the separation will be short, mine, well God only knows. (F)(L)(F)

Well they did ask for the Police Certificate, and my Birth Certificate, and copy of my passport. But not the photographs or Marriage Certificate. So does this count as most of the package or specific items?

They are changing their strategy to confuse us even more. We know the false check lists so time to change their pattern. ;)  :goofy:

I sent in my package on the 24th April, and got the same checklist on the 21st May. We have to show our 2013 Tax Return. In my case, will have to show proof of extension as the 2013 Tax Return hasnt been filed yet.

It might be that you got a false checklist for the IV package and a real checklist for the AOS. But i think in your case the IV checklist is also real as it is asking for specific documents.

My false IV checklist was as follows:

This may be something new for people to look out for, as until now we've been on the look out for either a 'real' or 'false' checklist. But as my checklist seems to be a little of both this could potentially lead to a lot of confusion.

Has anyone else received both a real and false checklist all in one?

Some operators don't like to give the IIN number.. so I bet if you call back and talk to another operator, they'll give it to you. I don't understand why they care about giving it out because you can't do anything until they release the forms on their end. I think they like the control..

Good Luck

I forgot to state that i got both checklists. A fake checklist for the IV and a real one for the AOS on the same letter. The IV package was not yet reviewed and the AOS checklist was generated. The NVC representative told me as they have not yet opened the IV package, the checklist for IV must be false and generated as your AOS package has been reviewed. But as i stated my IV checklist was very basic and asked for the whole package.

Some operators don't like to give the IIN number.. so I bet if you call back and talk to another operator, they'll give it to you. I don't understand why they care about giving it out because you can't do anything until they release the forms on their end. I think they like the control..

Good Luck

I agree with Tico she knows what she's saying. I called they gave me my CN the women hesitated I was being really sweet to her hahahaa and she said like she was thinking it, would you like your IIN number. Well helllllllllllllllllllllloooooooooooooooooo, yes! Hahaaaa call they will give it to you and by the way she said mine had just been entered and they had both numbers for me. ;)(F)(L)(F)

I'm in a spot of bother.

I emailed the NVC about two weeks ago asking for the case number. I got a response yesterday with all of the details, but the person entered my surname totally wrong. She used my maiden name instead of my married name and misspelt it...

Surely though if my name was like that in their system, the agent I spoke to on the phone on Thursday would have refused to provide info on my case because I gave the incorrect name for the beneficiary. Something tells me the email responder was just looking in the wrong place and made a typo at the same time, but I'm going to need to call on Tuesday and ask "#######?"

For what it's worth, my maiden name is Street. The emailer wrote Strret instead. Is Strret even a name?! :P

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

March 15th 2018: ROC approved. 535 days (1 year, 5 months and 17 days)

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.

Well here it is..... the dreaded 3 day Holiday Weekend ( I used to love so much)

Last night I went out to eat with my 22 year old daughter at a local bar/restaurant, KC's Alley. I was sending pictures via Whatsapp to my husband as we ate. This is what my life has come to.... sending pictures as I do things... My husband and I used to eat there. He sent me a picture of his front yard because he was chilling out on his front porch. ( super BIG SIGH)

I so want this to be over. I know I shouldn't rush time but I just want it to be next week so we can all get our CC's. There are so many of us who are due. If they were working on May5th on Friday I am estimating a CC for me by Wednesday. Our Birth Certificate was scanned on May 8th....

I hope the reviewers have a quota, otherwise it could be a slow moving Tuesday. Its always slow coming off a 3 day weekend.. Add the nice weather to that.. UGHHHHHHHH
