well I don't have anything to put for 2011 because my joint sponsor dsn't have that info..

I see what you mean.. For some reason I thought even putting the other two years numbers were optional too.. I guess you still have to put the numbers even if you are not sending the transcriptions.. just learned something new

False checklist. Could mean they accepted your IV. Call the NVC and find out

I think I'm going a little crazy, but my DS-261 and AOS bill were available before we received the notifications. My IV fee has a "pay now" option, but no fee available (it was showing N/A before the AOS fee became available).

Anyone had any luck calling NVC to have the fee enabled or is it just the usual waiting game?

I didn't submitted pcc in IV packet, when I call NVC res. told me no need to submit pcc in NVC you have to bring with you during interview. it is fine

Apparently you don't have to be accurate either... I just opened my email and this is the NVC response I received from an email I sent on May 2nd. The good news is that it isn't taking 30 days for them to respond But keep in mind... My husband is from Costa Rica and my name is Jennifer... so see below.... It makes me so nervous !!

GUUUUYYYSSSS HELP PLEASE..

I have the packages ready to go.. the only thing on the AOS my joint sponsor dsn't have the documents/ transcripts for 2011.. So neither do I or him know what he made for 2011 so I can't fill in that part in the I-864 form. we tried looking online and he's not able to access his info online..(irs blocked him for 24 hrs ) He went to our local IRS office but didn't want to be in line for 1 hour.. So my thing is this.. I'm frustraded with this whole situation already.. I have everything payed ..and all I want to know is how much did he make on 2011 .. that's it...!!!! I don't want the transcript or documents.. I just want to fill out the form... what to do?????

Do what you want BUT I only put an amount in the 2013 spot. I did not fill in the 2012 or 2011 spots and mine was accepted

Hello people! Hope everyone is doing well, this forum has been a lot of help, specially Saylin's wiki page. So i would like to thank all to get me so further in the NVC process

I have sent in my AOS and IV packages, however sadly when i called NVC the representative told me there are some issues on the AOS thus would be getting a checklist in my e-mail soon. In my situation my wife has never filed any tax returns, she has never been employed nor does she have any financial assets in the US. So for the AOS i did submit an i-864 signed by my wife, however no tax returns were shown as they were not available. This is why we are using a joint sponsor.

Q1) How do we explain/prove the NVC why my wife has never filed tax returns?

My joint sponsor has not yet filed a 2013 tax return, he is self employed and plans to get an extension. I sent in the 2010, 2011 and 2012 tax transcripts to the NVC.

Q2) Would a proof of extension be enough for the NVC or would he have to file the 2013 returns before the extended time just for me?

Hello people, in reference to my post quoted above. I received the actual checklist from NVC today. And for my wife's I864, the checklist states:

You must submit the following financial evidence:

[x] A written statement indicating why you did not file _____________2013______________________ Federal income

tax returns.

[x] ____2013_______________________________ Federal income tax returns, IRS printout, or Letter 1722 issued by

the IRS.

My question is, my wife has never filed tax returns. She was never employed and does not have any financial assets in the US. Would a written statement stating all this be enough? Will i have to request a form from IRS stating something like this? I read that form 1722 is a verification of Non-filing but may not be available till June 15 for the current tax year. What would you guys suggest i do?

We were able to get the PCC it just took 2 weeks but i have sent my IV package with the PCC..

Apparently only Mumbai embassy lets you bring the PCC to the interview for the New Delhi you have to send it to NVC.. Otherwise you will get a checklist I was told this by the NVC Rep
