i'm starting to worry about my 864ez :)

I left 16 b,c,d,e blank instead of putting 0. 16f says 2 so it's quite obvious that b,c,d,e have to be 0. we'll see if there's an issue :waiting:

I did the same thing...did you make sure to put 2 in the last box?

So on the ds260 it asks about visa denials. In 2012 my husband got denied a tourist visa because of lack of ties. He got a tourist visa in 2013. Will this be a problem that he was denied?

This applies to me as well. I read somewhere that this is not an issue because one of the main reasons for a tourist visa to be refused is if you don't show strong ties to your country, and you seem to be a potential immigrant. Since this is an actual immigrant visa petition, there's nothing to worry about

I've been thinking this as I followed this thread lately, too. There's so much negativity here recently and much of it comes from obsessive phone calls with long wait times and less-than-charming operators. I don't personally understand why multiple calls per day is a good use of time, simply because knowing a status for example 6 hours sooner than you might've won't make any difference to your case processing. Obviously it's a personal decision, but I feel bad for everyone involved -- both on our end and NVC's. This isn't pleasant for anyone.

I know NVC is staffed by call center personnel who are paid to provide customer service, but they aren't government employees. I can't imagine they have rock star salaries and they probably get treated like garbage all day. Hasn't anyone on this thread worked in customer service? Even if the job tasks are easy, it's challenging dealing with people all day. It's exhausting and frustrating. They're humans and imperfect just like the rest of us. They're also not responsible for the case processing decisions (i.e., reviews and checklists) driving everyone insane. I've spoken to all the operators who have been named here and have never had a bad experience, so to see them essentially being bullied in absentia is a little unsettling. I kind of wish I'd had a bad experience at some point just so I could know where all the negative comments have come from. They're paid to do their jobs to certain expectations, yes, but I personally feel a responsibility to be a good customer to the people serving me. I've never felt someone being nasty to me was justification for being unpleasant in return, though I'm keenly aware that others will feel differently. Perhaps if folks made fewer superfluous phone calls, the operators would be less overwhelmed, their quality of life would improve, they would be happier while serving their customers, and hold times would go down.

I know VJ is an awesome place to vent and commiserate. I'm really thankful for that, and that's why I hesitated to volunteer my own unpopular opinion above. I just wanted to maybe add some perspective, because I feel things have become a bit more hostile than usual. I really wish all the best for everyone waiting here. I know the hell we've all gone through and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. I hope all of you get the news you're waiting for soon.

I respect your opinion and do agree that we should treat them the same way we would want to be treated. Even when I have gotten yelled at (maybe he thought I couldn't hear him lol) or when agents have been a little cold, I always try to crack a joke or be funny (they don't laugh very often...maybe I'm not as funny as I think I am). I did tell an agent yesterday to go in the basement and look for my revised AOS, but I said it in a laughing manner and she laughed back.

My co-worker and I have discussed how their salaries are most likely not the best and how they need to have a lot of patience. In our defense though, I can also understand all of our frustrations, especially with the system and the mistakes that are made. And unless the agents themselves have experienced what we have, it is hard for them to comprehend that. Not that it is an excuse for us to unleash our fury on them.

I am grateful for VJ because at least I know every step of the way what is happening. I really do feel for those that have no clue what is happening and that called NVC frustrated, angry, and upset.

ps: I hope I get the news I am waiting for as well lol.

This applies to me as well. This morning I submitted the DS-260 :dancing:My AOS package was also delivered today, and the IV package will probably arrive tomorrow

Now the waiting game starts again! :clock:

I'm excited that I've already done everything on my side for now, but I'm anxious, hopefully no checklists! I'm a bit worried that I might get a checklist on my AOS package, because my joint sponsor recently resigned his previous job and is starting his own company.. The thing is that the company is not registered yet and therefore hasn't still earned any profit... And it won't until August :/

I included an explanation letter along with screenshots of the Company's website (where it can be seen that he is listed as the founder) , but maybe they'll want more evidence.... Hopefully if they do, they'll let me take it to the interview... *Fingers Crossed*

I completely disagree. Everyone should call whenever they want without being judged.

I think that it's just a personal decision, everybody knows their own limitations. I personally do call every day. I do this because NVC bases everything on 30 days generally. If I called once a week on Tuesdays for example. and something got approved on Wednesday, I am now delaying myself a week. I think what was said about calling once a week is a GREAT idea for those who really can't manage the stress well :)

He yelled at me because I tried to give him my DOB when he asked for my name. But other agents have asked me in the past. He was all like, "I DON'T NEED YOUR DATE OF BIRTH MA'AM!" He is a little high strung lol.

OK - I did my weekly call today about trying to rectify the bogus checklist. I spoke to Lexi, who actually did try to be helpful. She told me it takes 30 business days for them to respond to the attorney's email address! I was surprised there. I would not think the attorneys were as crazy as we are about hounding the NVC - so they might get better response times. Probably not....

Lexi actually opened the website from the State of Victoria, and saw with her own eyes that Victoria would NOT provide a police report. But she said she could not put this through for a supervisor review.

She also told me it was a very good thing that I sent in the information about the fact that Victoria wouldn't GIVE us a police report. But that it would still take 30 days.

She also let me know that a June interview was out of the question.

Sigh..

That's strange. Maybe BC and Alberta use different forms? :huh2:

Mine is 14.5 (h) x 21.5 (w) cm. It's not even a full page document. It's printed on a yellow page and has a red RCMP stamp on it.

My RCMP certificate states "Canadian Police Certificate for Visa Applicants/Foreign Travel/Foreign Work".

It's just a name search. I didn't provide my fingerprints since I don't have any criminal record. :)

Maybe other Canadians can confirm if mine is okay? :help:

Agreed. Everything has been sent and it's totally out of my control. I'm praying for no checklists, a quick case complete and a July interview with no administrative processing. I feel like that's a lot to ask...
