I wish I knew someone working for NVC to get a case number sooner... :idea:

I doubt very much that I will get all the way through NVC in May... and besides, the people on here are cool and awesome, so I won't say I hope this is my last monthly NVC thread... but I can't wait for things to get moving for me - there seemed to be a lot of action (certainly a lot of posts!!!) in April so maybe this means NVC is clearing up their backlog and will have plenty of time to deal with all of our applications!

He told me it was going to take LONGER because everything came in at the same time!!! That has to be BS. He said it would probably take another week. And then he *helpfully* (I'm being snarky) said "We'll send you an email when it has been reviewed."

I'm calling back on Friday afternoon.

VERY disappointed. Just hoping they will still be scheduling Australia next week.....

I finally got through to the NVC after calling like 60 times over the past 24 hours, spoke to a gentleman named Jack. And yes it's finally happened. Case Completed! (As of 4-29-14) And for those of you wondering, even though the case was closed yesterday I did receive the checklist for the PCC today. Which was expected and necessary so it was a good sign which prompted me to try calling several times again. Ekec I'm putting all my newly given positive energy to you. I hope you get that CC as soon as possible.

1/29/14 - NVC assigned case number

2/10/14 - DS-261 was filled out and AOS was paid

2/11/14 - AOS was mailed

3/10/14 - AOS Checklist for missing field (Didn't write N/A)

3/11/14 - AOS was resent

3/20/14 - IV fee was invoiced and paid

3/26/14 - DS-260 was filled out and the IV documents were mailed from India

3/27/14 - AOS was approved (Reply to the checklist)

4/1/14 - received a false checklist for IV documents

4/7/14 - IV Documents reached NVC

4/11/14 - IV Documents were touched by NVC
