I saved the best for last (F).....Thank You Saylin..... (F)

D'awwww :luv:

Tax Return Transcript or Tax Account Transcript? Which one should I submit? :huh2:

I Googled this, but I read lots of conflicting information. :bonk:

Oh, I'll need to submit my partner's 2013 tax transcript, correct? I mean it's May so I'd think you'll get checklisted if you didn't include your 2013 tax documents.

Read the wiki ;) Hint, it starts with an R ;)

And yes, 2013 tax information is now required.

Just paid the IV Fee and am waiting for both fees to show as paid before we send the entire package.

Mine said the exact same thing. Anyone know is if this is an error? Saylin maybe?

As others have said, it's outdated, as is a lot of stuff that NVC sends out. But, my wiki is completely up to date ;)

In reference to my question above, did anyone else have the same verbiage on their IV Receipt that unless you're doing EP you have to send in the DS-230 instead of the DS-260? I'm guessing the receipt verbiage just was never updated and that what Saylin's guide says is the correct way to do things. Please let me know.

Yup...the verbiage is not right. I also asked on here when it was my turn just to make sure.

Hello everybody,

We called NVC yesterday to ask whether we have a Case Complete and Agent Tori (very friendly) said "I will give you an even better news, your interview is scheduled for June 2". We couldn't believe it. She said she totally understands how relieved we must feel and how exciting it must be to see the NVC process come to an end and have the date for an interview.

No Case Complete email or Interview Letter yet but it is exciting none the less.

Thank you everybody who knowingly or unknowingly helped me through the process. I am sure that this path would have been a lot longer and lonely without the information and support from VJ members. So a big Thank You once again.

Also, Congratulations to everybody who have recently completed this process and good luck to all who are still in the process or waiting for a response from NVC.

Hey guys - what's the difference between a short form and long form birth certificate?

I believe that the long one has the following things on it and the short one does not have parents name on it..

The certificate must contain the:

  • Your date of birth
  • Your place of birth
  • Names of both parents
  • Indication by the appropriate authority that it is an extract from the official records

May I ask a silly question?

Does NVC always schedule interviews 30 days or more after CC? I've seen everyone getting June interviews and I checked Dwheels' spreadsheet, and it seems that way. I thought that since Buenos Aires embassy has very little inmigrants my interview date would be right away after CC. How wrong am I?

Costa Rica has very few also so my plan is to call and ask for an earlier interview when mine is assigned. I have dealt with the US Embassy in Costa Rica before and they were very, very accomodating in the past !!

Try and see if you can get a sooner appt. You never know til you ask.
