No problem! It's easy to get jealous of approvals that happen fast, but it's just a waste of energy to do so. Everyone will get their NOA2 eventually.

Thank you Nitsirk....

Hello all :)

First off congratulations to all those who have been approved, this has got to be the best feeling !

I am new to VJ (as a member, i have been stalking the forums for quite some time). I, too, am a February filer, specifically, NOA1 was received on 02/13/2013 and still no activity or news for an NOA2, I have called and they have said that TSC is still working on Dec 31 filers, however alot of Feb, March and even April petitions are being approved (which is great of course!) I am just wondering if here is anything I could do? Could my application have been lost ? The rep I spoke to said it would be "very uncommon" if I received a RFE at this point but he did not dismiss it. Any help would be eternally appreciated.

Good luck to us Feb filers still hanging in there ! :)

Congrats to all the recent approvals! For those who are still waiting, hang in there!!! I didn't have much hope for ours, especially since they claimed that they had to finish contacting all of my former US employers (which they didn't do at all); We finally contacted our local congressman, who was a great help, and one of our city representatives (they actually contacted the Canadian Embassy, not sure if that helped or not), and then one night I received a text message stating to check my status.. the emails didn't arrive until the next day. It doesn't hurt to contact your local representatives!

I waited two weeks after my approval notice to start calling NVC, when I did call they told me that it was already on its way to the Vancouver Embassy... problem is, we submitted an address change so that I would be at the Montreal Embassy! Now I am waiting to hear back about what my next steps are..

Im sorry you still waiting I can't believe how long they take just for the background check, this is ridiculous, but don't give up, just believe that its coming very soon, maybe even sooner... hang on, we pray for everyone who didn't get their NOA2 yet. As I know how hard it can be, we had to apply twice and waited for a year. Please just hang on....

Yeah it is definitely a long process. I got my NOA2 in august and case was sent to NVC... I thought it would be quick for it to reach Montreal consulate and I would receive package 3.. it's not like I live in another continent.. why is it taking so long? Its going to be 7 months since we started this K1 visa process.

Don't wait for Montreal to send you Packet 3, you'll end up waiting an extra 2-3 weeks if you don't just send it in yourself! As soon as you have a case number from the NVC start your DS-160, and when your CEAC status says "Ready", submit Packet 3 to Montreal in an email, here are the instructions: Montreal K-1 Packet 3. When you email Montreal let them know you'd like to receive Packet 4 in an email, sometimes they even reply back with Packet 4 the same day.
