Hi, everyone. Got my GC in the mail today. Weird that they're using my CGC's picture on my 10 year GC because I had my biometric done. Anyways, glad that it's over! Thanks for all the help and support, guys!

See you in 2024, USCIS. (Still not sure if I want to be US citizen) :)

I've read somewhere on VJ that when you change your address, you get a RFE. Is this true?

I changed my address earlier this month with USCIS and received a RFE in the mail a few days ago. My online status in still I'm "initial review" so luckily I checked my mailbox.

The RFE asks for joint documents to show that the marriage was entered in good faith. They asked for 4 things in particular and I already sent in 2 of what they asked for. They asked for a lease and birth certificate of children. We didn't have a lease and we don't have kids

In my response, I will explain the reason for not having a lease but I will include several other joint documents that I didn't send with my original package.

Wish me luck guys! I will mail everything back to them one day next week.

Good luck! I saw a lot of VSC Feb filers are getting approved. They're moving and that's good. :)

Still waiting for approval. Does anyone know why vermont is taking so long????

Met August 2009 spent hours together

November 2009 Went to spend time with him In Puerto plata for

January 2010 Went to spend time with him in Cabarete

June 2010 We went to Punta Cana for our birthdays also traveled to puerto plata and visited his family. He proposed to me and were engaged.

September 2010 Went with my cousin to pay surprise visit since he had gotten hurt and was in the hospital.

December 2010 - January 2011 Went with my mom to meet the family and spend christmas and New Years

January 18, 2011- Sent out I129F

Recieved NO1 with the date of January 24, 2011

February 2011 Got a suprise ticket to go and spend Valentines Day

April 2011 went for spring Break

June 8, 2011 Received text and email for approved pettition

Its sad, isn't it....but true....a few more months :(

First March VSC filer has been approved, so we are getting closer. We should see VSC approving May filers in the next couple of months.

9/21/11 - Married in Syria
11/16/11 - Fedex I-130
11/17/11 - Received at USCIS
11/18/11 - Text received from USCIS - papers received - sent to California for processing
11/21/11 - touched
11/22/11 - check cleared - Received NOA1 form in mail
3/9/12 - Approved!!! NOA2!!! 113 days!
3/15/12 - NOA2 received in mail
3/19/12 - NVC received - no case # yet
4/3/12 - Case number received!
4/4/12 - Paid AOS bill (in process) and completed DS-261 Agent form / also emailed request to transfer to Beirut, Lebanon for interview
4/5/12 - AOS bill shows paid!
4/6/12 - emailed I-864ez and tax info
4/9/12 - (rec. confirmation email)I-864 and tax documents received by NVC / request to transfer embassy denied
4/30/12 - finally received confirmation email aos/i-864 approved (case was held due to embassy transfer request!!!)
5/2/12 - IV bill appeared online - paid!
5/3/12 - IV bill shows paid!
5/10/12 - FINALLY submitted DS-260 and emailed all supporting documents
5/15/12 - checklist from NVC - needed different marriage certificate
5/20/12 - emailed other marriage certificate
5/21/12 - email received
5/29/12 - CASE COMPLETE! FINALLY!!!

6/4/12 - Interview Scheduled

7/22/12 - INTERVIEW! APPROVED! NO A/P. KEPT HIS PASSPORT

7/28/12 - Visa in hand

7/29/12 - POE Philadelphia!

Removing conditions:

5/5/14 - Mailed form I-751

5/6/14 - Packet received at USCIS Vermont - signed for by A.Scoss

5/6/14 - NOA1 receipt date

5/13/14 - Check Cashed

5/13/14 - Received NOA1 in mail

We're still within the "normal processing times" published by USCIS so one could argue that it's not "taking so long". What CSC are doing that VSC can't is a different matter :unsure:

Two quick questions here...

Background: We closed on a house August 22 and moved gradually last week, culminating in full move Sept 1 (Labor Day). So today we filled online change of address for hubby. It asked if this is for a pending address and we answered 'Yes', and went on to put the EAC receipt number that comes with the NOA extending GC for one year.

Question one is: Will this change populate to the GC and all other USCIS records? We are not worried about the change of address in the middle of the i751 process since Vermont is still far from reaching May filers... or do we have to file another change of address for the GC?

Question two is: Step-daughter already has a 10-year GC. and no pending cases. We need to file change of address for her too, right?
