I-129F K-1 RFE Notification Question

I searched but couldn't find. Since I've been on this forum, I've noticed some people state that they were not notified about their RFE's on their K-1 Petitions, I-129F. I know that they are supposed to email or mail you, but say you don't receive that for whatever reason. Does it also show them on the USCIS Website when you setup an account there? I know where to look. Just not sure if I'll see it there or not. Some people say to call, but I'm under the impression that you're not supposed to call until 1 month after the 5 months. Sorry for all the confusion.

-Marco

If I remember correctly, it will show on the USCIS website when you enter your receipt number. But, it will not show you the reason for the RFE.

If you receive mail at the mailing address on record with the USCIS, you should have no problem getting the mailing.

K good. Even if it doesn't state the reason there, if it does show RFE there, I'll see it. I check that page every business day.

Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. A few users lately got no warning from the website (and no texts or email despite being enrolled) and the status never updated, but got the RFE in the mail.

Is it their fault if they do not notify you by mail or email? Or will they make you refile and pay $340 anyway if your petition gets denied for not responding within 30 days?

Check out this topic...as far as I know it didn't end well (but they never gave us an update).

So....you're worrying about an RFE that hasn't been generated yet? Stop that !

^^ Very much agreed to this!

Marco, it is not at all healthy looking forward to a RFE. Worrying about something you don't have control with is totally wasted energy. I know you've been reading in advance for the embassy phase requirements, that's good. That's all you can do for now, aside from waiting. Just relax! :)

I was going to say, you just filed in March and you're at the TSC....there's no reason to worry you've missed a RFE notification. I was worried about this after almost every feb filer at CSC got their NOA2s and I was left in the dust, but lo and behold the processing times are just different. I got it, no RFE. That said, supposing snail mail AND the system both fail is supposing based on very rare occurrences, if the threads here are to be believed (and I believe them).

Others have taken screenshots of their RFEs on the USCIS Track My Case site, and it will say "We have sent a request for evidence on this day blah blah." :) Smooth journey!

Thanks all. It's not that I'm worrying about it. Just my Fiancee was was nervous after reading Ines' thread mentioned above. So, she asked me to ensure I know every way possible to be notified about an RFE, so we don't miss it, as we want to ensure our time apart is as little as possible.

Update: Since I posted this yesterday, I bought a plane ticket to go see my Fiancee in Germany July 10-21! So excited!! I haven't met her family/friends yet, so I will get to change the whole mysterious American man moniker before we marry. I love forward to it. Can't wait :) :)
