You need to make 125% Ofthe poverty line, as Zadayn said, that would be $19,662 per year for 2 people.

For a household size of 3, you would need to make $22,884

You need to be able to prove all income and finances.

Does one need to prove finances too ?

I though that proof of income and/or assets sufficient to meet the poverty guidelines for the family size is all that is necessary.

Hmmm ... if one has sufficient income from salary/wages, is it still necessary to list assets and investments, or can these be left off if the income from salary/wages is sufficient?

I am looking at all the paperwork my fiance will have to mail to the consulate in Egypt and it says original police report? Can he go ahead and get that now and does anyone have an idea where he gets it? I am at the stage of waiting for the NVC to receive our information. Also, it says original divorce decree from me. Do I just send my original papers to him or do I have to get it notarized or something? Will I get this back?

If your income meets the requirement, then you do not need/have to list assets. Just leave those blank.
