I got an email & text for our noa1 today. (I mailed it out Saturday, it arrived Monday) being processed in Texas. Now to wait 5 grueling months until the noa2 (hopefully no rfe) at least this part is done:) and I'm going back to England two weeks from today to see the love of my life...since I won't see him again until he lands in US soil-hopefully before my birthday-mid December.

I am the petitioner.

So lucky! I sent mine on Saturday as well and it was received Monday too but still haven't heard anything! I'm hoping this process isn't too long since everything looks like it's processing quite quickly right now! Good luck!

Nothing you can do between the NOA1 and NOA2 wait. This may sound strange but enjoy it while you can. Once NVC sends the file to the embassy, things you need to do will come at you in rapid fire, and you and your fiance have to keep up.

Oh, I'm already planning on once it's being sent to the NVC and embassy. My financial records should be relatively easy to get (I'll get my last three years tax forms here soon, cuz I don't think that'll hurt getting them in advance.) I'll wait for my paystubs until I get the NOA2. Plus, once he gets his interview, I have to get an apartment for us and a whole bunch of other stuff (I'm currently living with my parents to help save up money) I'm okay with all of that stress, because once he's here, all I have to do is pick him up, apply for the marriage license and sign it. I can't wait...I hope to god it's all gone through and he's here by december. I don't think that's too much to hope for, based on the timeline in texas currently.

And Sherafour, yours will be going to the cali service center, so you're lucky. You'll prolly have your NOA2 by May. Mine, if I'm lucky, will be by september :/

For what its worth, we recently cleared NOA2 and it took 33 days in total. Our file is currently in transit to the London Embassy. Using VJ's trends and timeline averages I have took the liberty of projecting dates; all things being equal and with no hiccups I expect to be in the US by mid September this year. Thats a total process time of 7 months.

Best thing you can do to expedite the process is get organised. File for your police certificate now (still waiting on mine which is holding up the booking of the medical), get copies of other forms like birth certificate, get your photos done (UK and US versions), update immunisations with GP if you so wish (save $ on AOS later). Have all your paperwork in order so that when it drops you're ready to get on with the next stage.

Good luck!

I surprised her with a proposal in Los Angeles, and this is how it went down!

Thanks:) when I visit Matt in 2 weeks I'll go over everything with him that he needs & get it started for him. I'm a bit more organized than he is, so it's easier if I just give him a list. He's planning on beginning to sort it out after my visit. Again, I'm filing in Texas which is crazy behind, so unless they magically begin going faster, taking a few weeks to start gathering that won't hurt things, but we will definitely have it sorted before our file gets transferred to the consolate in London.
