HELLO THERE VJ FRIENDS!!

Here is my POE experience:

Check and recheck and recheck:

  • Passport (expiration, US visa, CFO sticker)
  • Packet (on yellow envelope make sure it is not tampered)
  • Plane ticket
  • Travel tax 550php and terminal fee in peso 1,620php? I forgot just bring 1,700 to be sure so total is: 2,250

>NAIA

  • Scanned on normal airport x-ray
  • Paid terminal fee 1,700
  • Baggage Check in (23kgs per bag, 2 bags allowed, 1 7kgs handcarry and a small handbag)
  • Paid travel tax 550php
  • Immigration officer (Philippines) allowed me to go with my fiancé on blue passport lane (faster)
  • Checked my passport, boarding pass and customs form
  • While you wait on your designated entrance another xray scanning will be done (more thoroughly this time) US rules: NO DRINKS ALLOWED

TIP: if you have ample time and wanted to eat, eat first before going through the scan, so you will need to run through it only once. What we did: we were able to pass through the scan smoothly but got hungry waiting for boarding. unfortunately if you decide to buy food, you need to go through the scan again and drinks are not allowed, I only was able to buy pasta and a bread, left all our handcarry with my fiancé inside and I went through again with the scan only bringing my food.

>Boarding time. Our trip was 13 hours so hello butt pain, blessed we landed safe :)

>Arrival: LAX - Welcome to the United States :dancing:

The airport was nice and spacious, I had my fiancé with me so we were laughing and goofing around. I went to the restroom and I saw AiAi delas alas haha I said to myself what a welcome haha

The immigration lane was long for foreigns/tourists so we asked the officer if we can get to the blue passport lane but he pointed us at the tourist lane anyways that is fine. I got enough time to assemble my thoughts haha

US Immigration:

I said: Hello im abby im on k1 visa here are my documents:

  • Passport
  • Packet

I gave him my xray CD but returned it, he said it was my copy

He just checked my passport, took my biometrics and asked us, when do you plan on getting married? we said May 1st or 2nd week, and that's it :)

Welcome to the United States!!!

My experience so far:

Today is my 4th day so far so good I was able to apply for my SSN today easy breezy so far

Everyday is a new day we explore this new place together, me and my fiancé, I am happy and contented. I am trying to adjust but im always positive everything will be fine with God's grace. I hope my tips can help. Godbless

Faith can move mountains :D

Congratulations!! My fieance will be arriving here Aug 10 through LAX. I hope she has the same experience. The only thing she will not have is the CFO sticker because she is Comming to U.S. from Singapore. She wanted to go home to Philippines first but she doesnt have the CFO sticker so she will come to U. S. first then go to PI next year.

Congratulations! Haha only thing I didn't like about LAX is that it's sooo huge.. Long walk after a long flight. The immigration guy was funny though. He kept making sure I wanted to get married. He asked me 10 times at least
