Who needs the paperwork collected by the fiance?

Ok, I have searched and what I am finding is that my fiance needs to keep the paperwork that she has collected, such as police reports, marriage elgibility, passport, etc. This will be either sent in with packet three or taken to the interview from what I am seeing, unless I'm way confused.

She has been told by her friends that already have a visa in hand that she needs to send all of that to me.

I am really confused, and she is getting mad because I am telling her to hold on to it. Is there something in writing I can send to her telling her and me what is the right thing to do? Our consulate is Gangzhou China.

Thanks for any help

Jim

I assume some of the documents she gathered were provided to you and you included them in your initial petition submission. With that said, any other documents she gathers (police certificates, etc...) she needs to keep and have available to submit to the consulate either with P3 information or have with her on interview day. The only additional documentation she needs to provide you is if you receive an RFE from the USCIS for information you do not already possess. You will need to provide her additional documentation (financial and ongoing relationship evidence) to her for the interview.

YMMV
