First available date for an infopass is the 1st of May. This is not helping me at all.

changed my zip code.. still can't be seen until after my card expires. And I don't know if I want to be anywhere near the USCIS office if my card has expired.

But I can't find what is WRONG to start with, that's my problem. The only thing that could be the issue is my husband put the wrong month and then changed it on one page. So he marked a 4 over a 3.

and yes I'm still holding. I haven't moved from my desk because I plugged my phone in.

Yes, I have it in front of me. The guys said because there's no receipt number he can't help me and promptly referred me to info pass but advised since my card expires Thursday that I would be in remove proceedings as of Friday.

He said one signature is required for this form as long as we prepared it our self. Two if we needed more room.

We did that. We have two pages that required to be signed (the extra address form and the main paper). Hubby also signed the cover letter.

The guy was a real jerk, and ended the call because I sounded emotional. Didn't even answer the phone with his name or ID so I don't know who I spoke to and they're closed for the day.

Well, I would Suggest finding a lawyer right now and make an appointment to see them tomorrow or Monday, maybe USCIS is wrong or who knows but you still have 2 days, Tomorrow and Monday so all you can do is try your best to get this fixed. Wish You The Best Of Luck!

Tell them it is URGENT and take the copy of your packet with you maybe they can figure it out!

Your form I-751 or Form I-829 and it's supporting documents are attached. It is rejected for the consideration by the US Citizenship and Immigration Services for the following reason(s):

It is not properly signed.

You must resubmit your form within the required filing period. Return this letter and all attached documents with your response.

but they didn't send the documents nor the form. just the letter.

The lawyer we used last time sucked, and we ended up requesting a partial refund.. so she's not going to help again. It's Easter weekend. I'm not going to find a lawyer working on immigration cases. And I live in the middle of nowhere, If I couldn't find a decent lawyer when I lived in the city, not going to find one here..

At the top of this forum..there are EXAMPLE forms..take a look at those......If there is someone on VJ you trust..you could scan and email them the copies you made and double check....maybe he forgot to sign the cheque!! Best of luck

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

And you and your husband both signed on Part 6, with the signature, printed names and date for both? Check was signed too?

Where did your husband write a 3 then a 4? Is it there?

Seems weird...

a friend who does legal documents says the date is probably an issue, since it happened twice, on two forms BOTH on hubby's lines (not the sharpest crayon sometimes).

I followed the example and the wiki to fill it out, so I know I did it properly. Obviously confusing April for March the first week of the month was the issue. Next time I won't let him talk me into pushing the date to file out.

I found a signed, but not dated page, I wish I had found it last time. I'm going to have this at the post office by 9:30am tomorrow and I will pay what ever it takes to get it to California. Short of flying it there myself, this is pretty much all I can do.

Thank you, I will update when I hear back from them. Until then I'm going to be on pins and needles.

Ironically today is my 3 year border crossing anniversary Though I was just coming for a vacation they grilled me in immigration for 2 hours because I brought medication with me (rx meds.. necessary ones.. go figure) until I was in tears. and today.. more tears. I'm not checking the mail box on the 18th of April ever again.
