"petition" vs "application" and check description

You mean that there are people who think that once the I-130 is approved, they're done and the visa will be sent in the mail or something? I mean yeah, I've already seen several "NOA2, now what??" threads. But does calling it a petition really make a difference to the people who can't manage to find Guides at the top of the page? I'm not trying to argue with you--you're a long-time poster who clearly knows his stuff--but I can't see how calling it a petition instead of an application would make a person who didn't do the research suddenly realize there's more to the process.

ya, it is a problem with handphone users,

they are not presented the same menu

and it's very hard to see the Guides Section here.

So there's a bevy of questions, it resembles being spoonfed.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Part of I -130 where signature required...

I practice on evidenced base.

I tried to show that whoever created that I-130 form. Either a federal government officer or Mr. John Doe, the form's "application" is called "PETITIONER. "

That is incorrect usage of the English language. The form does not have either an "application" or an "applicant" BECAUSE it is not an application for anything. It IS a petition, with a "petitioner" and a "beneficiary".

The person called "petitioner" is petitioning the government, not "applying for" anything. When the petition is approved, the beneficiary, is invited to "apply" for a visa.

The first key to know this from the form is actually at the top, where the form is called "Petition for Alien Relative".

Sorry I have no degree in English literature and is unable to explain it clearly because I am not an expert on an immigration issue. And I AM not a Mrs. KNOW IT ALL. Nor I claim to be one. I tried to address what I was told and saw. I can be careless about what it is called or other people's issue. My intention is just to show an evidence on that is shown on the form.

That only served to require somebody who DOES know about the issue, to clarify and explain your ineffective attempt to be of assistance. If you don't know it and/or can't explain it well, it really is better to read and learn instead of posting.

I sure can do that. But there is no rule that prohibit me from sharing my experience. Maybe you should refer to the first amendment.

Sincerely...

No rule whatsoever. However, since your intention was to be helpful, and your intention was not realized, it is still my recommendation that when you don't know and/or can't explain well, you "help" more by reading than posting.
