NVC processing times

Hi all

Does anyone know or even care to speculate on possible delays to current NVC receive/processing times?

Our petition was approved 02 Apr but has not yet reached NVC, and when I called they explained this transfer takes 5-6 weeks. I'm inclined to be a little more hopeful than that, based entirely on VJ's average processing time of 15 days.

Feel free to accuse me of impatience, i'm quite excited! I will ring again at the end of the week - I want that case number so I can book my medical.

I surprised her with a proposal in Los Angeles, and this is how it went down!

Joining the impatience club! :D

The only thing I can think is that maybe with SO many quick approvals these past few months, NVC is having trouble keeping up.

Hope you get your # soon!

na, it's not only the approval at a uscis service center.

that casefile has to be converted into an A-File, then scanned,

and then (only then) will it hit the shipping dock at USCIS, headed out to NVC.

After it hits NVC loading dock,

it still goes through some stuff,

so study other ppls timelines (recent ones) to get some idea of casefile movement times.

I wish I had other news, but hey ! Sometimes the queues go fast, along the way, and sometimes they do not.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
