FOIA Response from USCIS - Re Transfers of I-130

During my time of frustration with USCIS I had initiated multiple inquires. I wanted to find out what they were doing to fix the issue with petitions at the NBC that weren't being adjudicated. I just got a response from USCIS of my FOIA request this morning. It's 412 page PDF file with all emails discussing their transfer program. I plan to go through it later and will post any good nuggets to this forum. If anybody is interested in the entire document let me know; i'll try to figure out a way to get it posted.

Btw, anybody from the VJ admin community is there a way I can upload a 14MB file to share with the community here.

I see you submitted your I-130 in September and were approved in 5 months. It took us 9 months to get approved.

You got an interview date last Friday. We are still waiting for our NVC number to be assigned.

I find it pretty amusing that you had "times of frustration" that resulted in "multiple inquiries". As far as I can tell, everything is happening pretty fast in your case. Sure, share the file (there are many free file hosting services online), but I would just like to remind you of how lucky you were. Be happy.

It might help you to be less spiteful (It might help you read my timeline better as well). You have no idea what my mindset is so I would appreciate you not suggest how I should feel. I can care less what you find amusing, I have posted this here for people who have had the worst of this process and those who want to make a difference by understanding the inner workings of this opaque process and try to change it. There are many members who have done just that and continue to do so.

I have been supportive and understanding of everyone who's had it worse than me; my inquiry was initiated during the time when I saw how unfairly the Nebraska and Texas service centers were fairing compared to California.

In any case, if all you want do is belittle someone else, I suggest you find something better to do.

I think he is trying to help everyone stuck in this awful process, Ivy. 6 months for an NOA2 may "seem short" to someone who has waited longer but by any reasonable standard that's a ridiculous wait time.

Evidence that letters and fax from petitioners were being considered. They were discussing the implications of this letters being sent to congress and ombudsman. PLUS the kicker.. Since the letter didn't request anything in particular (i.e. an expedite) they let the case go through normal processing. I am wondering if this person had asked that the case be expedited based on this info, if they would have done it!

Very likely that the letter in question is from someone on VJ.

Thank you for sharing this, most people bail on VJ when they get their approval. I know what I will be reading tonight!!!!

Regardless how long the wait was to get approval, I don't think telling someone how they "should" feel is productive. We're all wihout our spouse and 1 day is too long, much less 5 or 9 months.

Thanks for sharing. It is quite interesting...especially the callous remark "it is what it is." I see they care less about the author and waaaayyyyy more about how it affects themselves and their superiors. And we have to put our lives in their hands.
