Hi, Everyone! I am a new member here.

Both my wife and daughter's cases are in NVC. We received the NVC case number and invoice number.

We have done:

1. Online DS-261 for both

2. Received the AOS invoice and paid the fee. Showing as paid on ceac site.

3. Received the IV invoice for both cases and paid the fee. Showing as paid on ceac site.

4. Send in the elestronic processing enrollment request emails (Tried three times, didn't receive auto reply. Called NVC, was told not necessary will receive the auto reply. Have beeing waiting for a week now). I have not sent the AOS, waiting for the electronic processing approval. Don't know how long that could be.

5. I noticed we have the access to the online DS-260 already and have been preparing the form without finally submitting it.

My questions:

1. I understand we can submit the DS-260s now. However, is there any benefit doing so now before our case numbers will be changed due to the electronic processing? Submitting the DS-260 earlier without sending in any support document or AOS will put us in the queue ealier or it will only confuse the NVC and make the things worse?

2. If we submit them now, and later the NVC changed our NVC case number from GUZ to GZO with a new number. Will I need to resubmit the DS-260 or the DS-260 will automatically carry to the new case?

Finally, is there any way to check where my case stucked in the electronic processing? I called the NVC, seems no one can check whether they received my email request or the status of the conversion.

Thank you for everyone on this board for your help!

Bill

**Moderator hat off**

Did you send the ENROLL email before or after the you received the AOS invoice?

I see no benefit to submitting any forms or documents until you have the GZO number, you would probably have to resubmit under the new number.

Ryan,

Thanks for the reply!

I sent the original ENROLL emails after I paid the AOS online, when it was showing as "processing". However, after one week, I called NVC and was told I supposed to receive auto-reply emails if the requests are received. I resent the ENROLL email, still no auto-reply. I remember you answered my other post saying you didn't receive the auto-reply when you enroll the OPTIN. However I noticed your case was filed in 2011. Do you know if anything changed recently? I have seen other posts saying they didn't receive the auto-reply the first time, then got it the second time when they resent the ENROLL email. I did three time on two cases. No auto-reply at all.

I was wondering if submit the DS-260 would force them to take a look the OPTIN requests, but on the other hand worried the DS-260 might not transferred properly to the new cases.

Submitting the DS-260 now would be done under the old case number and unlikely to be transferred once the case is converted and would probably not force anyone to look at the ENROLL requests.

I would call the NVC and speak to a supervisor about this.
