Hey! I received an answer from Vermont Service Center! I filled an E-request with them last week. Well if you can call it an answer, but hey, it is better than nothing! Here it is:

U.S. Department of Homeland Security

VERMONT SERVICE CENTER

75 LOWER WELDEN STREET

SAINT ALBANS,VT 05479

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services

Type of service requested:

-- Outside Normal Processing Times

The status of this service request is:

Recently, you contacted USCIS concerning your I-130 to notify us that you believe your case is outside of our normal processing time. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved.

Your petition is with an officer pending consideration. We regret that we are not able to give you a timeframe for when we will complete the review of your petition.

What You Can Do

Please see the "Online Services" below to check the status of your case in the near future. We apologize for the delay.

Well the more I read it... the more I dont see an answer in it. At least it is not on hold for some security reason -_-

Seriously... this is not great at all... "with an officer pending consideration" it means it has not been seen whatsoever yet? I am never gonna get it ?

Same here.... still waiting :clock:

Why is there a major slow down with VSC now? I'm also having difficulty trying to understand why all of these service centers work in waves of high productivity to low productivity and back again. Why aren't they all working proportionally on a more consistent basis? I understand there are some variables that would make for slower and faster processing on a smaller scale, but not to the grander magnitude as these service centers seem to encounter. It's just super frustrating :(

Even though I knew it would be a fruitless effort on my part - I decided to go ahead and file a service request. Well I was correct in my assumption. I received a non answer reply.... sigh. Additionally, the reply contradicts itself so, what to believe?? Is it currently with an officer or it's waiting to be assigned to an officer?? It states both. What the....?? :huh:A partial copy of the reply below: In the meantime, back to the waiting game.

Type of service requested:
-- Outside Normal Processing Times

The status of this service request is:

Thank you for your inquiry regarding your pending Petition for Alien Relative (Form I-130). U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) records confirm that your case was received on April 10, 2014 and is currently pending at the Vermont Service Center (VSC).

A petition is considered outside normal processing time (ONPT) when the receipt date of the form is:

More than 30 days from what is listed on the USCIS Dashboard online processing date (5 Months); and,

The visa for that petition is currently available.

Your receipt date is not more than 30 days from what is listed on the USCIS Dashboard online.

Therefore, your petition is not considered ONPT. The petition will be processed within the normal processing time here at the VSC.

Your petition is currently with an officer. We regret that we are not able to give you a timeframe for when we will complete the review of your petition.

You may monitor visa availability for your beneficiary’s classification at:
http://travel.state.gov/visa/bulletin/bulletin_1360.html

Your case will be assigned to an officer as soon as practicable but usually no later than one year from visa availability. If additional information is required to complete the adjudication, you will receive written correspondence from the VSC outlining the required documentation. If you have not received correspondence from USCIS within 45 days of the availability date, please check the USCIS website at www.uscis.gov or call the USCIS National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283 for updated processing time information. Please note that estimated processing times and processing goals are not a guarantee that applications will be processed within the estimated timeframe.
