On the USCIS website where you can check the status of your file it says that the national goal is 5 months to complete de proces... are they talking about the uscis proces only or the whole thing including NVC? On my timeline VisaJourney tells me I should be done around septembre... for all the visa???

Have a good time with your husband Angela!!!!! Gratz on the NVC news :D

The goal of 5 months is only for USCIS process...NVC is separate...In your timeline, it says you will complete your USCIS stage by September...

Most i-130s take about five months to be processed, so you should expect to wait that long. Some of us got ours processed more quickly, but it seemed to be just an unusual stroke of luck. It also seems that most of those speedy ones were at the California Service Center. I see you're at the Vermont Service Center, so you should probably expect a longer approval than the California ones got.

I don't know if you would be able to help me with this, but I applied for my husband in March who is in India right now. It will be 3 months tomorrow from the day of acceptance. And I don't have the approval letter yet, is this something to be worried about or is that how long they take to process the application? And also my husband overstayed his England visa by about 5 months, will that somehow affect our case? I am really worried and loosing sleep over this, please help. Thanks in advance. :)

England Visa? I really doubt USA would talk to a third party like a country other than for a national security issue. Your husband is Indian? then I wouldn't worry about England. When you say day of acceptance you mean NOA1? the average waiting time is 5 months (usually, some got lucky :P ) so 3 months is in the target time. Been 2 months here and it seems it's an eternity...

Yes, he is an Indian. By acceptance letter I meant NOA1. I am very nervous about this.

Don't sweat over the 3 months since your NOA1, like I said the average waiting time is 5 months so you are in the aimed waiting time. As for your husband spending to much time in England I really wouldn't worry about that either. USA wont talk to England, that doesn't concern them. Dont lose sleep over that! :) But wait... are you applying for IR-1/CR-1 ? I see in your signature that you filled for a naturalization?
