Joint (bank) statements for last 2 years?

There's no requirement to provide statements on joint bank accounts at all. The requirement is to demonstrate that the marriage is real and sincere - joint bank statements can indicate commingling of finances which is something most married couples do, but there are other ways of demonstrating this. Perhaps choosing six statements chosen at random throughout the two tear period would be sufficient, but it also depends on what other evidence you choose to present.

We had tons of financial evidence - car loan, mortgage payments from both accounts (though only husband's name on mortgage), medical, vehicle insurance cards, EOBs, bank statements from month I got the green card every 3 months to the date we sent in I-751, insurance policies, beneficiary designations for 401k and other employer provided benefits...

ROC 2009
Naturalization 2010

do we need to provide joint bank statements for last 2 years, or 6 months is enough?

thanks!

Quarterly bank statement for over two period time duration will do good.

But honestly what uscis wants nobody knows.i recently talked to my friend whose ROC was approved in jan 2014,she applied in Sep 2013 last week. She told me that she sent bank statement for just last 5 months and not for two years time duration, still she got approved within 3 months without any rfe.Even i was shocked to know this but it is true.

Still suggestion is to send everything covering two years time duration to avoid any problems.

My question to you is,your timeline shows that you got approval message in May but they ordered production of card in july last.Does it take that long for them to order production of card or its something with your timeline?

Did you have joint accounts back when you first applied for the 2 year green card? If so, what changed? Where are you getting this arbitrary 6 month timeline from?

I guess it depends if'n you want to breeze through the RoC stage or no.

IMO, make a 'book' that resembles a monthly journal, and then everything that you have monthly 'joint' stuff on, such as:

--utility bills

--cell phone bills

--monthly receipts for domicile

--bank statements

--medical insurance statements

--car insurance statements

from day 1 of marriage to yesterday, all seperated by month. yes, that's 24 months.

then other stuff that isn't monthly, put in another section, such as:

--joint tax returns or transcripts

--property tax payments

--lease, deed or mortgage paperwork

--copies of drivers licenses.

--POD instructions on back accounts

--life insurance documents

--car titles

--car insurance initiation paperwork

some folk will say it's not all required, and I agree, wholeheartedly - but to 'breeze through' without any RFE should be your goal here....

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
