I do not think the wait time is solely dependent on submitting everything that is required. That does not explain why over the last month we have seen filers from Oct/Nov/Dec being approved without an RFE. Those filers were well over the ~55 day average and appear to have submitted all required documentation (due to lack of RFE). And I anticipate seeing a significant amount of our fellow TSC January filers be approved in the next two months without RFEs.

Your approval timeline (~55 days) appears to an exception to the rule for TSC...if you look at the the recent TSC approvals reported here on VJ.

The average days to approval of 55 days is based on VJ data - and you can see the wide variability as well. the data can be look by each country's timeline. I have seen some are approved within 60 days, others in months. Mine was just under 90 days.

This has nothing to do with the approval. Just administrative process at USCIS. We got the same too in the early stage.

Regarding time, you should expect 2 to 5 months to get NOA2 (the approval). 5 months is the maximum period. TSC is more slow than CSC and this is a fact.

After you get your NOA2 you have to wait from 2 to 3 weeks to obtain case number from NVC. Then from 3 to days your papers will reach the US Embassy in your country. After this stage, you should check the timeline of the embassy. Some embassy give interview date after 30 days...some after 60 to 90 and even more. This is totally up to that specific consulate. This whole process needs lots and tons of patience.

We sent in our petition in the middle of March and received the Noa 1 about ten days or more after that. We checked the case status the day we got the Noa 1 and it said that my alien registration nr was changed. I also know that our case is being reviewed by the California service. I really wonder how long it's gonna be til we get approved. You find out bout getting approved thru the Noa 2 that they mail you, right? Or do they update the case status online and u can find out that way too?

As far as I know, they update it online and send you a text message, too.

Oh really? But we didn't attach that one for that you fill when you want to be notified thru email or text. But you still get an official approval thru noa2 thru mail right?

So I just got off the phone with a Tier 2 specialist about another question I had and while I was on the call I asked if I could get the supposed Alien Registration Number that had been changed on my account. The guy laughed and said if he had a $1 for every time he got that request... he said it's a bug that's been in the system for a long time (many years were his exact words) and that no number is assigned until you've gone through the entire process. He said if they ever managed to fix the bug, it would cut down on more than half the calls they get each day

I think the are still on December 5. They havent even start the January filers, im a January 24.

It changes from case to case. I saw a case which was sent on March get approved In 23 days..

Those were spjust lucky! Has nothing to do with the center and what month they have on their desk!
