In recent days I have noticed a new influx of new Petitioners... so green and newbie'd up!!

Asking all kindsa questions....all either excitedly prepping to send them off or having received NOA1 excitedly wondering whats next.... curiously and hopefully asking "how much longer"... and all of a sudden I just found myself remembering those days.... those early months... so giddy, so excited!!! So doe eyed!!

BBBUuuuaaaahhhhhahahahahahahahahaha!!!

Oh God how fondly now.. looking back.... I can remember those days...

I don't know why its so amusing now.... to laugh at myself then... with that OOhhh... I was SO CUTE!!! Such an eager lil K-1 Beaver!!! Just thinking it would REALLY Only be 5 months!! 6 moths TOPS!!!

BBUuuahahahahaha!!!' :rofl::rofl:

I used to calculate IN DAYS how long until (using the K-1 timelines) until we could start our life stateside....... IN DAYS I tell ya... to my friends.. :secret: "Ooh Ooh Look I think in approx. ## days we'll be in blah blah stage" and then in ## days we'll have our case at the embassy an din ### days we'll get our interview":rofl: I can't tell you haw many "wedding dates" we picked out... Oooohhh lwwaaddd!! I even sent out E-Vites on FB once  when I thought we were close!!! :dancing: hahahaaha

That was a fiasco!! Trying to explain why we cancelled the date  but DON'T WORRY we're still a happy, strong and loving couple!! Let the CHISMOSA (gossip) BEEEGGIINNNN!!!!! :secret::pop:

Now two years later still in the last stages of the K-1 process and patiently awaiting his Visa... *sigh* and start of our all new process but mostly I'm just waiting to share our life... and so we wait... :clock: and trust and pray and give thanks.... with all of our setbacks... we really have actually gotten to enjoy quite a few Mini Honeymoons Many more than we would have if he had come stateside as quickly as we had hoped... this process really forced us to make the best of every moment and learn as much as we can about each other every chance we get.. because it's for now.. all we get... and cost a small fortune in Int'l minutes!! :-p

Just the same... I still get happy whenI see updates of people I watch and pray for... I love seeing everyone's happiness and hopefulness... every lil (L) Love Visa (L) (that's what I call em...) that gets approved then AP'd and Ready and Issued... and I know one day soon.. We'll be crossing that POE hand in hand and celebrating the ability to just live and love together!

:goofy: So while you are all out there doing what you do... don't forget about those of us still here... still happily waiting and loving seeing the love.... :luv:

I surprised her with a proposal in Los Angeles, and this is how it went down!

My fiancé and I were both excited, full of amusement after he filed I-129F. I did not ask many questions on VJ since I've started learning the process back in 2011. We had been in 5 years relationship before we decided to tie the knot.

I also was excited to see those fellows who got approved and will soon to be with their loved ones. That's bring a joy to me. Or even someone filed after us got approved my fiancé and I were still happy. I remember those days. Patience is a virtue and because we did not have high expectation and let it flow - expect would be finish 6 months up to a year-, we got approved I-129F in 38 days without RFE. We even delayed the process of K-1 visa due hectic work schedules for both of us and waited for my fiancé travel request to get approved since he's in the military.

I feel sorry for those who still waiting together with their loved ones. It makes moments with my fiancé is more precious and meaningful. Now, we are on the stage to get married very soon and already went through marriage counseling with the chaplain on the military base.

For those who are still waiting, don't let sad feeling frown you. Doing something else that productive for both you. Be prepare for the next steps or plan together with your fiancé(e) what you'll do after come to the US. Being alone almost most of day after you used to work with hectic schedule that's really hard. Fortunately, I still voluntary wrote articles for the company where I worked before, managing some of my personal websites, and spent quality time with my two unique cats that I raised since they were kitten. They are my good company when my fiancé went to work.

For a final note, I disclosed what the chaplain told us when we were at marriage counseling. "Being in love is a wonderful thing, but you should know that marriage is a business relationship". He then gave us two books ( His Needs, Her Needs by Willard F Harley Jr and The 5 Love Languages by Gary Chapman). If you are an avid reader and want to understand more about your significant other, those books will help you a lot.

Yeah We TECHNICALLY Filed Nov 9th 2012... My LongAZZ signature explains a lot of it and I have topic in mind to post to help others about some issues we have faced along the way that may help others... for whatever reason this is our path to living together the rest of our lives.... so we make the best of it.

We are in AP... So Yes by the time he gets here... it will be very close to 2 years...

And as you said .. somehow coming here and helping others and learning more really does help me feel like I am not alone... but n my real life no one knows or understands.... and so I keep my feelings to myself. :-)

UUUffff the Waiting!! He doesn't even have internet..... :crying:

I am like you. :).

I laugh now when I see people asking timeline for process :).

But when you are starting and waiting isnt funny.

Hey I saw your story... jajaja been watching you progress!! Congrats on your MIni-Miracle!! (L) Nope starting out it sucks... but I am generally a "look for the silver lining" kinda person and so is my Papi... and like I said we truly are blessed in many ways and God always makes a way for us to find strength and love to keep going... (L)(L)

Celebrating the ability to just live and love together.... YES! Resonates with me so much!

PS. My jaw dropped when you said you sent out e-vites and then had to tell everyone you cancelled the date! LOL! OOPS!!! :)

Oh! Wow!! You should have seen it... I'm a nerd by trade.. so I'm really very practical and direct... so I just cancelled the event with a very nice notes saying we were going to wait until Spring or later... Aye Dios MIO!!!!!! His Mom called crying and saying she'll always love me no matter what and how sorry she was for us.. and what happened... and all my Friends texted and called...

and we still survive... lol no VERY FEW people react to any FB posts from em or him for a while... lol I'm still not sure they are convinced one way or the other.. anyway they'll see once he's here... and I learned my lesson... that and we've decided to marry in quiet.. file AOS and then plan our "Boda" wedding for a few months after his arrival... like normal people and celebrate that day when it comes as if the courthouse never happened.. :-p

Lots of time.. gives you lots of options, ways and things to figure out... and we figure out more and more our future is together.

Ya'll are awesome.. Thanks for connecting with me.. :dancing::dancing:

Wait - you've been waiting for a visa since November 7, 2013? 5 months? That ought to take more like 5 days.

Yeah.. I agree.. but not everything goes as we humans plan... and it's been good overall even if it sucks... lol

~ Jan ??,2013 ~ Service Center ~ Vermont I-129F Packet sent

NOTE: Actual sent date unknown due to lawyer negligence - I delivered ALLForms and PAID Lawyer on Nov 7, 2012 - Lawyer kept saying he sent the packet and USCIS must have lost it. When in reality he failed to send the package and only a new copy to USCIS after I made a legal written demand giving him 10 days to perform or return ALL monies paid to him, due to "non-performance".

(IMO it's better to save your money for visits to or from your Fiancé and just fill it out yourself using the K-1 Guide on VJ and Senior Members... They Rock!!!)
