Hey guys I saw lots of people said to call NVC daily in order to get NVC number quick,

But when I am calling them they are saying same thing wait 30 days.

Is it a gud idea to call everyday . They won't get frustrated...

Please fill in your timeline. Also, add some of the important dates in your signature. That way it is easier to understand what is going on with you and makes it convenient to advise correctly.

In general there is no point calling them every day. More than they getting frustrated, you will be stressing out more than you need to. If your file has been shipped from USCIS, give NVC at least 2 weeks to officially 'receive' it. Call them around that time. On the other hand, if your file has been 'officially' received by NVC, they are currently taking about 4 weeks or little more to assign Case #. So calling them everyday does not help hurry up the process.

My husband is a PAKISTANI living in LONDON but his visa expired on Aug 2nd 2014..!! I'm afraid his visa might expire before the interview .. ANY ADVICE WILL BE APPRECIATED

I am the USC filing for my husband from abroad so I need to use my Mom as a Joint Sponsor.

For Section 1 of the AOS Form would I be 1a. (Petitioner) or 1e. (I am the first of two joint sponsors)?

In your case, you should select 1a, "Petitioner"

I dont think you are supposed to send a "return that she expects to file".

I dont think you are supposed to send in anything that has not been filed. That is not good advice.

Either that third sponsor sends an extension AND they submit the return/transcript at the actual interview.

OR

They submit the filed completed return right now to the NVC -- not what is expected to file.

What about 2009, 2010 or 2011 ?

It's not a third sponsor, we only have 1 joint sponsor. My husband is main sponsor but he makes below the poverty line for 2 people.

I have asked her to give me copy of the extension but she completely ignored me. I guess I can try to ask for it again.

She did give me tax transcripts for 2012,2011, and 2010. Thank you for your reply, it is making me a bit more clear headed about it now.

Just look at everyone's timelines to get current time frames for each step.

This will help you with call frequency when something goes past the norm.

Did you already send out the AOS package or are you sending it out right now ?

If your sponsor filed Form 8848 - you are supposed to send in a signed copy of that form with the AOS package - alongwith your 2012 (and if possible 2010 and 2011 returns).

If you filed the extension electronically via Turboxtax, TaxACT or another preparer - please send in a copy of the electronic record which should contain something called a submission ID.

If you have already sent one of these two items, you will not get a checklist.

"Most recent return" in this case is the 2012 tax return.

Don't fret about the verbiage.

2012 is your most recent return because the sponsor did not file the 2013 return.

HOWEVER ---> Between now and the date of the interview, get that sponsor to submit her 2013 return.

This is a must.

They will ask for it at the interview and you will need it.

I didn't send out the AOS package yet. I am still waiting for her to send me the i-864 forms.

I'm not sure what Form 8848 is for? Is it the extension form?

I will have to talk to her about it again.. Hopefully she doesn't ignore me this time.

If you take a look at the I-864P, you will see whether or not you meet the poverty guidelines for your household on your own. If you do not meet the minimum income then yes, you can ask a relative or friend to be a joint sponsor as long as this person is USC or LPR.

I made a misake. I sent IV packet but in police certificate i forgot to choose juvenile files ...I choosed only criminal files.Should I send another letter with corected cert. ? Or just wait for checklist?

Awesome! Well, I JUST started working again. My contract with my other job ended in December and then my baby girl was born...I finally felt good enough to work, so I am just hoping this won't be a problem. I already have someone who is willing to help sponsor my husband. I just hope this won't set us back.

OMG don't make me cry, same here dying to see my husband again it will be a year next month I had to come back home and leave him after two years of marriage. I can't even sleep anymore.
