It takes roughly 2 weeks for NVC to receive your packet from "shipped" message. When did you get "we have shipped your approved..." message?

April 15 Th, I'll call them at about 4 pm I think Miss Nasty Pants is gone by then. :D

Just got a false checklist for IV docs.... At least they're looking at it!!

That might mean your AOS has been accepted without checklists. I've seen it happen for a few people here :)

Just got an email regarding my NVC case number and my IIN. I had those already.

And an hour later, got an email asking me to pay the AOS fee. I'll gladly do so..if it were available!! Still can't pay. Will keep y'all updated.

Gosh..so happy that there is movement (even if it is at a SNAIL rate)! :-)

Also..very happy to see those 'Case Completed' status. I can totally relate and empathize with all of y'all. I feel blessed to be part of this family where we are helping each other out!! :-)

Jim was the one who gave me my case number. He was awesome, but sounded very uncomfortable when I told him I was so happy I could kiss him. :P

Hahahahaa now I know it was the same Jim he sounds like the kind of guy who would be uncomfortable with anything like that hahahaaaa.

Thank you.

I have a question. I usually have my tax filed by one of my father's friends (so does the rest of our family). He has filed me as 'single' rather than married. Now..I am super worried that it is going to affect our process in the long run. My father has talked to the guy, and he said that there is no issue in doing so..as my husband is not here and has done this in the past. I am UBER worried and has even had an argument with my father that...this is not the case. My father reports that a few people who has had their spouse come through recently from abroad also filed as 'single' status.

My question is...what shall I do at this point? Amend my tax return? Or..should I try my luck?!!!

Ahhh...I can literally see my hair falling out!!

You're going to have to amend, but I would send NVC what you have now with an explanation I think. Anyone else here gone through the same process to advise?? :)
