I saw a post a few pages back about getting a checklist for not sending in original birth certificate and marriage license. Has anyone else received checklist for this? I planned on sending certified copies of both.

Congrats! I have kept my eye on you! NVC received your case a day ahead of mine. However.. I called them this morning and nope.. no case number as yet! This time though, she told me to wait and they will contact me..I didn't get the 'please wait 20-30 days'..

Thank you. Don't stress over it, look at how far along you are. This'll soon be over. I received a checklist too and my case was still completed in two months.

Thanks for the kind words. :). I just felt so terrible last night. This morning I went to the post office to find out why my package had not been delivered. The lady there called the post office in NH. The lady there said that they receive 3000 pieces of mail for the NVC per day. And HOPEFULLY my package will turn up today!!! OMG!!! I did get my money back at least but I'd rather have them have the package. Didn't care about the 20 bucks! I didn't even tell hubby the package is missing. Don't want him to worry anymore.

I saw your signature and noticed that you have got medicals scheduled for 4/30... did knightsbridge not have an earlier date? just curious.. and yes it is perfectly ok to be anxious about the documents make sure you get tracking and signature on arrival on the package.. :)

I'm sure they had earlier dates, but my parents were wanting to push the date out to the end of the month so that they can try and time the 6 month deadline properly from the time of the medical. They won' be moving until fall most likely as it needs to be cool enough for them to fly their cats :)

I-130 for both parents

March 28th 2013 - Priority date/ NOA 1
November 14th 2013 - Transferred to Nebraska Service Center

January 7th 2014 - Case changed online to approved for both

January 8th 2014 - case changed to shipped to NVC

January 9th 2014 - case changed to NOA 2 mailed

January 10th 2014 - Received the hardcopy of the NOA 2 stating that NVC would issue a case number in 30 days approx.

January 21st 2014 - Case Received at NVC

February 26th 2014 - Case numbers and IIN number received - Wrong embassy code assigned...now waiting for new case numbers.

March 3rd 2014 - Filled in DS-261 for both parents

March 5th 2014- AOS available, paid and submitted AOS packet.

March 6th 2014 - USPS shows packet was delivered at NVC

March 10th 2014 - AOS shows as paid in the CEAC portal/AOS logged into system as being received by NVC.

March 11th 2014 - New case number assigned for my Dad.

March 20th 2014 - Paid IV fee for my Mum.

March 25th 2014 - AOS accepted by NVC with no checklist.

March 26th 2014 - Filled in and submitted DS-260 for my Mum

March 31st 2014 - AOS found in my Mum's file for my Dad - accepted and placed into his file/IV fee available for my Dad and Paid.

April 1st - Mailed all civil documents to NVC for both parents.

April 3rd: IV fee shows as paid in portal/submitted DS-260 for my Dad.

April 22nd: checklist issued for civil documents - NVC error ...

April 23rd: sent another certified copy of my marriage certificate

April 24th: Case complete! :)

April 30th 2014 - Medical scheduled for parents at Knightsbridge in London

June 11th: Interview at London Embassy - Approved :)

Hello to you neighbor, did not realize you were a fellow Marylander :)

Yea I had the envelope all address and ready to go for a week. I made a point to go buy a money order last night. I actually need to mail the payment in. No worries because the employment letter is not ready yet. As long as the AOS fee is showing paid, and my employment letter is ready by next Friday I am good. I will then overnight my AOS to the NVC!!

You check yes only if you want someone else to handle it such as attorney.

You see from the shot that you are then able to enter address information.

I put the address we will live in the USA in this section.

Then it asks did anyone help you with this form.

I said yes and put my information and

address we will live in America.

Relationship to you at the bottom is Spouse..i.e....Husband in my case.

That is exactly what I did and our DS-261 was accepted. On another note, don't go to BKK just yet, we need you around here ...he he he...
