Never goes to accepted, sadly, you just have to call and ask to figure that out. Apparently it goes from Completed to "On File At Post" when it ships off to the embassy/consulate, but there's no interim status on CEAC.

That is what I thought.. SO I keep calling too !! I think I have a week or so to go yet. Probably longer..

It's the South American way girl and I am the same, lived with my parents all my life and left only to marry my husband and it took two years to see them again. But Colombia isn't that far from the USA and just turn on your Skype put on some Cumbia's and dance. Also have them turn on Skype and leave it on so you feel your there with them and for them the same. It's amazing how much better you will feel. Good luck with the interview.

I like the cumbia dance idea lol. We plan to skype daily and also have my parents apply for tourist visas so they can go visit me and my husband soon. Thank God we're in the same continent and thank God for skype!

just called and talked to Paige. Another SUPER NICE person. very helpful. I ask the same question to all the operators I talk to .

1. Did I make a mistake by sending the revised AOS before the incorrect AOS was reviewed?

No, I was about to suggest that you send it in right away if you know what the mistakes were. You saved yourself time

2. will they just process the revised version and finish processing the rest?

Yes, it was a good thing that you sent the new AOS right away.

3. what about the DS260? I didn't put 10 years employment history for my husband?

that is fine, you can just add that info at the interview.

So She gave me the same answers as Alan did last night. Joy is the only one who told me not to do anything until I get the checklist. ( ole' Nasty Pants)

I know I am obsessing but I am so stressed over this. And the lawyer hasn't even called me asking where the documents are so he can send them. What a waste of money

jaka how long to receive aos email

I sent AOS on March 19, and it got received on April 5. So it took 18 calendar days. And then another 6 days for it to be reviewed.

As part of the civil documents, do I (the petitioner) have to submit a copy of my divorce decree?

Question regrading civil documents:

Do I have to submit ORIGINAL civil documents (birth certifcate, marriage cert, Police cert etc) to NVC? or copies will be acceptable for now and my parents can take originals at the Interview in Mumbai, India.

My concern is that if I send Originals to NVC - what if they are lost??

I would appreciate reply from folks who have already gone thru the process.

Hey, you have to send original civil documents (including PCC) or you will get a checklist. NVC sends all the docs to respective embassy and your parents will get them back at the time of interview. You must also send your original birth certificate with the IV package. Make sure you write BMB # on each doc, with pencil of course

No, you already sent it to the USCIS. The IV package is all about your wife. My lawyer tried to tell me I had so submit mine but NVC told me NO, its only for the beneficiary at the NVC level. But make sure she has them incase they ask at the interview

Apparently NVC was just waiting for me to lose all hope, sit back and get comfortable before throwing us for a loop. Yesterday evening we received an email notification for a May 19 interview in London. We're very surprised, very excited, and also a bit stressed as we accelerate the timeline to get ready for the move I feel a little bad line jumping out of the June interview group, because I know how left behind I felt watching others do the same. I wish I could assign you all interview dates myself. The wait sucks, but you're so close to the end now. I can't wait to see each of you sharing your good news as it comes

Bit of a tangent here, but something I've been thinking about... with our interview date scheduled and everything suddenly so near at hand, I'm finding myself more and more in awe of the incredible sacrifices all the beneficiaries (or applicants, to use the NVC-appropriate term!) here are making for their spouses. I'm so full of love and appreciation for everything my husband is doing to bring our lives together, and I know many of the members here are bound to have even more difficult situations and transitions than we're expecting. I give you guys all the credit in the world. You're amazing. The love and commitment it takes to survive this process and THEN give up everything you've known in life except your spouse is incredible. I hope you all have wonderful, supportive, thankful partners, because you sure as heck deserve it.

so NVC has confirmed they received my AOS on 4/1 and DS260 4/5 but she said to allow 30 business days just to review them? Is this what others are being told on the phone? I called last week and then today and both times they said the same thing to allow NVC 30 business days to review my documents.

She also said they would email me once they have been reviewed.

Standard by-the-book answer from the operators. You are already bordering the case complete finish line. I can guess you should be receiving some good news either tomorrow Friday or Monday, in which case I am right behind ya!

So I got the official email for missing the last page for the I864. I sent another I 864 a few days after I sent the first one because I was worried about the blanks. Do u guys think I should send another one exactly the same as the first (with blanks) just in case?

If I remember correctly you sent your corrected I-864 with your IV packet, right? Call them first to check if they received your second form after they issued the checklist.
