My Case number was assigned yesterday(24 hours),when can i expect the DS261 ?

I suppose im being a bit too over excited to move on to the next step but seems NVC is busy with my file and gives the 'case that you have attempted to access is not eligible for further processing by the National Visa Center at this time' statement.

The DS-261 will become available 2 or 3 days after the case# is assigned, so I expect you will have DS-261 available before the end of this week.

CASE COMPLETE :dancing: 4-14-2014 Thanks to Saylin I made it through NVC in 32 days from Case # to Case Complete.

Just got off the phone with NVC. Case Complete as of yesterday. Thank God (L)

Called NVC just now after reading Changnoi's case complete message and guess what, we got a CASE COMPLETE as of yesterday. Woo hooo!!!

Finally my case was received by NVC, I'm so glad to be here... I have seen that many of you have moved A LOT FASTER THAN USCIS!!!

July 24: I-130 NOA1

July 24: I-129F sent (Dallas Lockbox)

Aug 2: I-129F NOA1

Aug 12: Alien Registration Number was changed, I-129F.

2014: Jan 28/29/30: - 3 transfer notices for I-130 and I-129F.

Feb 3 - Hard copy arrived -Notice of transfer to Texas stating Jan 29th.

Feb 10 - NOA2

Feb 27 - email stating I-130 being sent to NVC from TSC.

March 6 -NVC received our case.

April 7 - CASE NUMBER yay! IIN and BIN obtained and email given.

April 9 - DS261 available and filled in online.

April 9 - AOS not yet payable but visible.

April 10 - email regarding NVC case number and access to DS261 received/ email regarding AOS received and paid.

April 11 - AOS sent by snail mail.

April 14 - AOS arrived per mail tracking.

April 15 - IV bill received via email, IV bill paid/ in process, IV package sent.

April 18 - IV bill showing paid/ DS-260 available and done!

- AOS scanned into their system.

April 21 - IV package arrived per mail tracking.

April 24 - IV scanned into their system.

May 2 - False checklist for IV documents= AOS approval.

May 13 - NVC rep reported ? missing Police certificate via my phone call.

May 19 - Case COMPLETE!! Police certificate found by NVC:)

May 28 - Case complete email arrived.

May 30 - Assigned Interview date!

June 2 - Interview letter arrived via email.

June 11- Medical appointment Surrey, BC

July 8 - Interview in Montreal!! APPROVED!!!!!!!! July 10 - Visa package and passport in hand!! July 23 - POE!!

Hang in there! sometimes it takes up to a week for DS261 to be ready.

I got my case # assigned 10-Apr, still waiting for DS261. Hoping for tomorrow!!!!

I can't believe it. I'm on vacation visiting my husband and his family in Japan when I get this email from NVC. I thought maybe it was a checklist, but nope! It was an email to tell us that his interview is scheduled for next month in Tokyo!! I didn't even know our case was complete! We're both excited! Especially since we were together when we got this happy news!

Just wanted to share my little 'IV package' adventure with you all today.

I got the NVC email that the IV fee was available, and my hubby immediately paid it. I spent the next hour getting the package together /photocopies/ case numbered pages/ scanned it for reference, and ran out of black ink on the printer while printing my cover letter :oops: So I changed the text color to blue and printed that out, whew.

I also printed the bar-coded document cover sheet... nervous but it came out in a gray color, should be good, another whew.

Packaged it up, off to the post office... paid for 3 day mail service, and as I'm writing the address on the priority post envelope... I see I've got the WRONG DARNED bar-coded cover sheet, I printed the AOS ONE! :bonk: OMG, and WHEW that I noticed the mistake!!

So I raced home, had enough gray ink to print the proper bar-coded sheet, raced back to the post office and SENT! BIG WHEW!! :dance:

Feb 3 - Hard copy arrived -Notice of transfer to Texas stating Jan 29th.

Feb 10 - NOA2

Feb 27 - email stating I-130 being sent to NVC from TSC.

March 6 -NVC received our case.

April 7 - CASE NUMBER yay! IIN and BIN obtained and email given.

April 9 - DS261 available and filled in online.

April 9 - AOS not yet payable but visible.

April 10 - email regarding NVC case number and access to DS261 received/ email regarding AOS received and paid.

April 11 - AOS sent by snail mail.

April 14 - AOS arrived per mail tracking.

April 15 - IV bill received via email, IV bill paid/ in process, IV package sent.

April 18 - IV bill showing paid/ DS-260 available and done!

- AOS scanned into their system.

April 21 - IV package arrived per mail tracking.

April 24 - IV scanned into their system.

May 2 - False checklist for IV documents= AOS approval.

May 13 - NVC rep reported ? missing Police certificate via my phone call.

- Supervisor review initiated.

May 14 - Checklist for Police certificate came via email.

- Sent checklisted documentation priority post!

May 15 - Package delivered per mail tracking.

May 19 - Case COMPLETE!! Police certificate found by NVC:)

May 28 - Case complete email arrived.

May 30 - Assigned Interview date!

June 2 - Interview letter arrived via email.

June 11- Medical appointment Surrey, BC

July 8 - Interview in Montreal!! APPROVED!!!!!!!! July 10 - Visa package and passport in hand!! July 23 - POE!!

I have a feeling that I will get a "real" checklist on AOS and the reason is that on the I-864-EZ, part-3

{ "Information about the sponsor",

item 9. Place of residence (if different from mailing address).

}

I put the same address as I put in item 8 - "Mailing Address" because I do not want to leave it blank because of the stories I read on VJ about NVC sending checklist if we leave a field blank.

But now I think that I should have put "N/A" in section 9 to meet the "unknown" requirements of NVC.


So my question is, if I get the "real" checklist for this issue (or any other):

1. Do I need to fill out only a new page #2 for I864-EZ and send it to NVC, OR

2. Do I need to fill out a completely new I-864-EZ.


Also, do the NVC send checklist via email or snail mail.

FYI: My country is not eligible for EP.

Wouldn't correcting it at the interview be a little too late if they have to mail me anything in Canada? Or is the only thing they mail me my completed passport with visa?

You can make sure the record they have is correct that's about it. They do mail you your passport but that's via dhl/loomis and you go to the location to pick it up.
