I'm really panicing right now:

Has it happen before that it took 20 - 30 business days to invoice AoS fee and have DS261 ready?

I'm really wworried that my case will be delayed even further!!

NVC told me that it takes 20 - 30 business days from case # issue to AoS fee and DS261 being available in the system.

11/17/2016: Got engaged
11/28/2016: I-130 sent to Chicago IL lock box
01/12/2016: NOA1

Please don't panic, it hasn't been long enough yet! Check Saylin's sheet to be sure, but I don't think it's taken that long to get the process rolling after receiving case number for anyone recently. NVC is giving you boilerplate answers like they will at every step along the way, but it doesn't mean it's going to take that long. Deep breaths :)

In my opinion I would do snail mail if I were you. AOS was paid 3 weeks ago, IV was paid 2 weeks ago and ds 260 was submitted 10 days ago. And now I'm on hold waiting for EP acceptance before I am supposed to email anything to them. Although I've already emailed the AOS and IV, I have no clue wether they will receive them or not because I haven't been accepted for EP yet. Some people have had luck with the EP. So far for me I wouldn't advise anyone to do it. I'm just sitting here waiting, as every NVC operator has told me it can take up to 30 business days to receive Emails.

Thank you, I will contact my lawyer and tell him.

Looking at the spreadsheet, AOS has been sent for most people who received their case numbers up through April 7. You're not falling behind or taking an unusually long time to get yours, so don't worry :) It's coming. There are people listed as having case numbers received on April 8 and 9 who still haven't sent AOS, I recommend you watch for their updates to get an idea of when you'll have some action.

you should be able to log in into ceac.state.gov and check.

you will use ceac.state.gov for all the payments.

I still haven't received my enrolment confirmation email for EP, either, but also sent in the packages before doing so in the off chance it doesn't make a difference. It's incredibly frustrating that I've been sitting here twiddling my thumbs not knowing if they've even received my email. /o\

(Granted, I've not received a false check list after completing the DS-260, either, so I don't know what to make of it.)

Our timelines are close, I'll be watching you.

And I know this wait is killing me. At least before we could keep busy gathering the required info and preparing forms. I even have my packet for the interview ready, immunizations taken and updated and medical records ready for pick up from doctor. Everything is done now, nothing to occupy my time. Going crazy waiting.

Couple questions:

Am I now required to submit 2013 taxes? While I have already filed and paid my taxes in March, I am not sure if the IRS has processed them yet. They said it could take 4-6 weeks because i had to do it by hand to get my wife a ITIN number. And technically because I filled with my wife, it extended my deadline to june. Asking because I already have my package ready to go. I was assigned my case number last week and the CEAC site says the termination thing meaning I should be able to pay soon and get the packages out the door.

Second, I am confused after reading the guides, does the DS-261 (agent form) generate before or after the first bill.

Thanks

Hi, I just got the case # and after reading your post I wonder if I should up to EP or snail mail? I have a lawyer and he recommends to do EP, but I really want this process to end as soon as possible. I will appreciate any comments. Thanks and good luck to you in this process!

I'm going snail mail! After the issues expressed by xprecious and others, I didn't want to risk the hardships they're facing.
