Yes I am hopeful. There was a point in my life that I thought this was impossible.

I believe at that moment God began to put in motion a thousand things that

have brought me to this point. My wife and I have laughed, loved, cried and

prayed and now we find ourselves near the end with thankful hearts.I have played it out

in my heart what it will be like to step off the plane holding my wife and little boys

hand and be together here for the first time. I know it will be a moment pure praise!

its obvious the NVC is controlling the process by NOT receiving files and giving file numbers. It's 2014... we all know it doesn't take a month to ship a file within the US. They use DHL. I have no idea how we got a case number so fast. I'm not complaining . It just kills me to see everyone waiting.

I wish DVman would chime in . I want to know his status. We had the same filing date and were sent to TSC on the same day. He was approved a couple weeks before me but TSC didn't ship him out right away. He also had a K3. WHERE ARE YOU DVman??

Grr, bummer. I was advised by someone else on here (can't remember who) to send it ASAP with the cover sheet from the payment portal. So that's what I did.

I did the same thing... I'm sure it will be fine.

I did not advised you but I had the same experience, I sent a revised I-864 before getting a checklist, I called NVC just to make sure that it was fine sending the revised form before being reviewed, the operator told me to go ahead and mail the correction of my AOS. It worked fine because my case was complete two days after the revised AOS package arrived to NVC. I did not get a real check list. good luck don't worry as long as you have included the bar coded sheet from the payment portal they will get it.

I just got off the phone with NVC asking about how long I have to wait for DS261 to be available and AoS fee to be invoiced.

The answer I got blew me away! The guy said (I did not catch his name): 30 business days after case # is assigned!

I know it is just BS, but he really killed my hopes for a speedy process!

Thanks for the advice, its given me a little hope, however.....

My husband called USCIS, asked to speak to a Tier 2 and they said they didn't have time to discus the case and hung up on him.

I called the NCV and they told me to contact USCIS.

In the meantime (to avoid any unnecessary delay) we filed the I-824 today and wrote a check for the $405. Fingers crossed the I-130 was sent to the NVC and the I-824 is subsequently closed down, but if not at least it's in the system.

Are you serious? A Tier 2 told him that they didn't have time to discuss his case and hung up on him? WOW that is so unbelievably rude! I would be so pissed off. He should keep calling back until he talks to someone that can actually help. He should also contact a congressman or someone higher up that can help. That is completely unacceptable. I don't think you should have filed that form. They are just taking your money for not doing their job properly. But it's your choice and if you have the extra money to do it I can't stop you.

Hello everyone,

Can someone help me please. I just got my NOA2 for the I-129f. In the notice it said they forwarded it to the consulate, is that right? I thought they forward it to NVC?

That's a good thing, it means it bypasses NVC and goes straight to the consulate.

I'm not too sure what goes on from there, maybe you should try contacting your consulate to see if they have your case and what happens next.

I'm feeling so restless tonight. NVC can't tell me if London will do a second round of interview scheduling, so while I know it's happening at other embassies/consulates, it does me no good. It's frustrating to have missed the May scheduling cutoff so closely and then have a whole month to wait. We're so ready to be done!

Does NVC accept Laminated Marriage Original copy from India?

I called NVC this morning 3 times. And they told me that they do accept laminated documents but it's has to be originals.

Hang in there, the second round of interviews scheduling goes up to 15th-16th per the data. Maybe it's coming over next couple of days, fingers crossed for you.

hi everyone, i have received a checklist from NVC that they need my husband's COC from Singapore as what we expected. It says on the Singapore Police Force website that in order for us to obtain COC from Singapore we need a letter from the requesting office that specifies the need of the clearance and states explicitly that "a statutory declaration of no criminal conviction by the applicant is not acceptable as evidence that he/she does not have a criminal conviction". does anybody know how to respond on this checklist and how to get the form of letter they are talking about? do i need to call NVC and ask for the letter or what???? please anyone enlighten me on this! thanks in advance.
